And seemingly out of the blue comes an OS update for Sprint for the BlackBerry Bold 9650. Considering the last official OS released by Sprint for the Bold 9650 was that of OS 6.0.0.415 you'll no doubt wanna fire up BlackBerry desktop manager and get OS 6.0.0.600 loaded up. As always, drop some comments once you get it up and running and let us know how it's working out for ya. Thanks, @BlkScorp33

China Telecom

China's third largest telecommunications operator China Telecom now offers BlackBerry services for small businesses in the country. Starting from 89 Chinese yuan per month (roughly $14 USD), small businesses can opt for BlackBerry Internet Service for reliable communications or expand their possibilities with BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for no additional cost. As part of China Telecom's offerings, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphone is made available to provide small businesses flexible connectivity in a stunning, feature-laden package.

Sharing the excitement is Gregory Shea, Managing Director of China, Research In Motion: "RIM is very pleased to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphone and extend BlackBerry services to small business in China. With their extensive market reach and flexible service offerings, we believe small businesses will be well served by China Telecom."

As competition in the smartphone arena becomes more fierce in China, more and more options find their way to Chinese telecoms operators, albeit mostly for enterprise customers only. But everything has to start somewhere, right?

Verizon users get another update today as both the Bold 9650 and Curve 3G 9330 have some new software. OS 6.0.0.524 is official from Big Red and ready for the taking. Things look to be good on both of these, so if you are a 9650 or 9330 user then fire up the ol' USB cables and get to installing. If you get up and running, leave a comment here or in the forums with your findings. As always, use caution when installing any OS.

Bold 9650 OS 6.0.0.436

Here's one for the Bold 9650 users. Altell has released OS 6.0.0.436 today for public consumption. While it isn't really a huge jump (or much of a jump at all) from the last official OS for the 9650, new is new right? It looks to be good from early reports, so get out the USB cables and have at it. Be sure to hit the forums and post your findings. Thanks rroyy

9650 BB6 leak

It's not often that OS leaks go backwards in numbers but that's seemingly what happened here. If you've not been satisfied with the 6.0.0.446 then 6.0.0.443 might be worth -- downgrading to. Sounds weird right?! Remember to back up your data before you load this up. Also be sure to drop comments letting us know how it all turns out for ya's!

*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). *

*UPDATE* Check out this post in the forums for the exact details of what this is. It uses official files but no installer was given so one had to be created. You can decide for yourselves if that makes it official or a Hybrid.

*UPDATE 2* - If you weren't happy about having a non-signed RIM installer file you can now grab the official RIM installable file from here. Thanks to Verizon and of course, @theiexplorers

Verizon updating BlackBerry Bold 9650 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 this month?

Sure seems that way when looking at a piece of documentation found over at Android Central. We're not sure if it will be a rollout of BlackBerry 6 or not at this point but the BlackBerry Bold 9650 will be moved into a MR3 release while the BlackBerry Curve 3G will be hitting MR1. Also noted is a MR4 for the BlackBerry Curve 8330 but that is left at TBD. Of course, we know that won't be getting BlackBerry 6 but the others really should be at this point. Guess we'll just have to wait it out and see but if all goes as we hope it does, BlackBerry 6 will hit land on Verizon soon. Keep in mind; its been delayed before so it could happen again.
