A few days ago when RIM fully announced the BlackBerry $10K Developer Commitment, a few folks were concerned whether or not Adobe AIR apps were included with that offer. It's been a couple of months since we saw the last update to the Adobe AIR SDK for the BlackBerry PlayBook, but it seems that RIM slipped out an update (bringing us to v1.0.2) at the end of May without us noticing. It doesn't appear that there are any dramatic changes or additions, which is likely why RIM didn't send this one out with a bunch of fanfare, but an update is an update nonetheless...

For those of you who missed the full presentation or are not wanting to watch the replay via the AdobeMAX website, Adobe has now posted a longer version of the BlackBerry PlayBook demo to Youtube. Kevin summed it all for us earlier today so, just sit back and enjoy this one. Needless to say, my desire to own a BlackBerry PlayBook has increased many times over.

So you really want a BlackBerry PlayBook right? Better yet, you want it for free? You can get one. All you need to do is create an Adobe AIR application for the BlackBerry PlayBook and get it accepted to BlackBerry App World and you'll get a free one.
