A quick From the Editor's Desk post as we get ready for another busy week ahead... the AT&T launch is behind us - next up is T-Mobile and Verizon!

A video hello from CrackBerry Kevin, recorded at Times Square
A quick update as the CrackBerry community settles into its new home...
With a few exceptions, I have been a hermit the last 6 weeks. Coming home from CES in Las Vegas, there was a week of craziness packing things up and taking care of loose ends as I prepped to move to Toronto for a month. At Toronto's CrackBerry's BlackBerry 10 Launch Campaign Headquarters, we were pretty much heads down from early morning until late at night every single day. Returning...
We're soooo close. Last Sunday when I wrote my weekly From the Editor's Desk post, I was optimistic that by the time you read this week's FtED it would be on THE NEW CRACKBERRY. Instead, we're going to DELAY things (insert your BlackBerry-related "delay" joke in the comments), just to ensure the user experience is a little more polished for launch.
Get ready for it CrackBerry Nation... THE NEW CRACKBERRY.COM is almost here. When I drop my next From the Editor's Desk post on the site a week from now, assuming things go to plan you *should* be looking at it. To be dead honest, we're still probably three weeks away from having the new site polished up to where we want it to be for the BIG unveiling, but I just cannot wait that long...
It's Sunday night. It's been an insanely long and awesome week. I'm a little tipsy from Super Bowl bevvies. I've already done a lot of writing today. So I'm copping out on the writing for this week's From the Editor's Desk and doing it video style. To be honest, I probably could have went on here for an hour. There's THAT much to talk about between the launch event, the BlackBerry Z10...
Hello Toronto.... CrackBerry Kevin is in the city!
My apologies in advance for this one folks... this is what happens when you drink too much rum egg nog while working from home by the Christmas tree... As for the song. Well, everybody remember's last year's CrackBerry rendition of Jingle Bells I hope - it's a classic!
Last week I was in Bangkok for BlackBerry Jam Asia 2012, and it was quite a ride. Kevin couldn't make it for this one (I think between his creepy long hair and moustache they wouldn't let him into the country), but hey, his loss is my gain and this week I'm taking over CrackBerry's From the Editor's Desk post. Although you might not see me around these parts often since I'm posting...
Simon Sage... reporting live from Bangkok this week! We've had a *slight* change in our CrackBerry coverage plans for this week. As I type this, I'm now sitting in a hotel room in Miami, Florida, while Mobile Nations' Simon Sage is somewhere over the ocean in an airplane, making the long voyage from Ottawa, Canada to Bangkok, Thailand. The original plan was for me to hit up ...
Normally, the 'From the Editor's Desk' is posted by Kevin but this week I'm taking over. I'm actually sitting here in Winnipeg with Kevin after having flown in from Arizona only a few days ago. Yes, I went from the Arizona heat right into a pretty hefty snowstorm that Winnipeg is known for. In my time here though, I've sat through many conference calls, tech calls, meetings and more...
Between the hair and moustache, things are getting creepy... but can you name that BB?! I'm normally a pretty busy guy, but this past week was busier and crazier than normal, with sooo many different things going on at the same. It appears the craziness is going to continue this week -- and I only have 10 minutes to write this -- so am going to cheat and dump my thoughts in bullet...
Late Night Ramblings... As I type this week's From the Editor's Desk post on a Sunday night/Monday morning at 4:30am, it's not BlackBerry that I'm thinking about at the moment, but Microsoft and Windows Phone. Later today Microsoft will officially be launching Windows Phone 8. Our sister site Windows Phone Central has been long overdue for a site refresh, so we pushed out a big...
I'll do anything to make sure I win this BB10 keyboard typing contest! ;) If you read my articles last week, you have no doubt noticed I am having a lot of fun putting my BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha B device to use. No, it's not final hardware. Nor is it final software. The version of BB10 loaded up on it is a stripped down developer preview. That said, between the flow UI and a few...
BlackBerry 10 will mark a new beginning for Research In Motion. That means for many of us CrackBerry users who upgrade to the latest BlackBerry phone as soon as it's available, it will also mark a fond farewell to the legacy BlackBerry OS. All of us on the CrackBerry editorial team are really looking forward to BlackBerry 10. Change can often be scary, but in this case it's all...
If you follow me on twitter, you'll know I woke up to a big surprise this morning.... WINTER. Seriously. I know I live in Winterpeg, but it doesn't usually start on October 5th. So for those of you around the globe who think of snow as a novelty, I headed outside to record a little catch up From the Editor's Desk video. Hit the video above and enjoy the quick update. It's...
No "editor's desk" this week... we're live on location in San Jose for BlackBerry Jam Americas! Hit the video above for our official CrakBerry hello. Things are going to be CRAZY on the blogs here tomorrow morning, so be sure to tune in for all our coverage, which kicks off with the keynote live blog at 8:30am PT / 11:30am ET. Don't miss it!
Apologies on being a little late this week on my From the Editor's Desk post (this shiz should have been up Sunday night!), but it's been a crazy few days in the life of CrackBerry Kevin. Things are mainly back to normal again, so now I'm playing catch up and hustling to get a bunch of things off my plate before Saturday, which is when I fly to San Jose for next week's BlackBerry Jam...
The BlackBerry Gods intervened this morning and have pretty much put an end to my visit with Android as part of the Mobile Nations World Tour (for the details of what happened, see this post). Long story short, I went for a jog this morning -- without the phone -- returned home, picked it up with sweaty / shaky hands and proceeded to drop it on the floor. I guess the Gorilla glass wasn'...
I love today. I've always viewed today -- the Tuesday following Labor Day Monday -- as the first day of what I refer to as GO TIME. Summer is over. Holidays are finished. I'm rested, rejuvenated and full of energy and ready to hustle. Over the years, whether it's been back to school or back to work, the next four months leading up to the Christmas break (where I recharge my batteries...
If you're an astute observer of mobile in the tech media, you may have noticed it's feeling like the tide is beginning to turn in favor of BlackBerry. I've written before that RIM is losing out on potential sales every moment that BlackBerry 10 is not on the market. That's true. What's also true is that every day that passes is bringing us closer to that anticipated day - the day...
Be sure to watch the video and read the post... Hey everybody, get new for CrackBerry.com ~2 birds with one stone this week. I'm Zyflo meet you unlock this week using his voice dictation, so I'm trying for myself. I guess you could say I just don't believe that it works that well, but I like to learn by doing. So this is my test. I hope it all makes sense to you reading In the...
Better late than never! This week's From the Editor's Desk is coming at you via video. Hit play to watch it above. And yes, I know, the hair is getting lonnnng. Hurry up RIM and get BlackBerry 10 to market! I'm pretty stoked I'll have some new hardware to review shortly. The 4G LTE PlayBook got announced and will be available in Canada this week. I'll do up an unboxing video the...
If drinking coffee were an Olympic relay event, the Mobile Nations EiC team would win Gold! In last week's From the Editor's Desk post I gave the heads up that I would be busy this week hosting the EiCs of our other Mobile Nations sites. Making the trip into Winnipeg for our EiC Summit were Phil Nickinson of Android Central, Rene Ritchie of iMore and Daniel Rubino of Windows Phone...
