T-Mobile is now pushing the Marshmallow update out for BlackBerry Priv owners. The update has been available for unlocked Priv's for some time, but it is great to see T-Mobile sending it out to its customers. With Marshmallow, you'll have the enhanced permission controls, Doze, adaptable storage and much more.
From T-Mobile's support page:
- Beginning June 13, the BlackBerry PRIV receives a software update to Android version 6.0.1/build AAE153. This update provides features and improvements:
- Android Marshmallow software
- Performance and stability enhancements
If you have yet to receive the update notification, you can check for it manually now. To do so, head into your Settings, About device and finally check for the update.

Verizon BlackBerry Priv owners can now download software AAN368
Verizon has now begun sending out software AAN368 which is noted to have been tested to optimize device performance, resolve known issues and apply the latest security patches.
