Mac users:

You will not be able to install this or any other program/update unless you either have a mac running windows, or a pc you can install and update from. i just got off the phone with t-mobile pda tech support and she said there are currently no plans to release a mac compatible Desktop Manager. There's always a chance that RIM will soon surprise us, but I'm not holding my breath.
