Yesterday we saw an image of an AT&T branded BlackBerry Bold 9780, and today we get a step up and see it live on video. Nothing really new here to look out for as the device is already available on multiple carriers in Canada and T-Mobile in the US, but it's just further confirmation that it is indeed coming to AT&T very soon. It's not the most stimulationg video ever, but check it out above to get your fix.

This phone looks new and revolutionary!

Cool. Now I am curious is there a theme for other 9780 users that will allow us to see icon labels in the tray as well?

Well nothing to see here ... Moving on

the video was posted Nov. 11 so it's not like it's breaking news.

I still don't believe at&t will release this phone before the new year. I hope i'm wrong though.

That hurt my eyes to watch. Nothing special.....its the same as my 9700 running OS6, but with more memory & barely better camera. Whoopedy doo.

It's something special to someone who's been using a 9000 running 4.6 with a broken trackball.. jussayin.

eahinrichsen

The trackball on my 9000 crapped out twice while I had it and once since I gave it to my dad. Serves me right for getting a damn refurb, I guess.

With my luck this will release while I'm back home on Christmas holiday...but at least it will give me something fun to go get when I come back!

Well at least that video was better than all of the BBM "music" videos

Wow. I can't believe CrackBerry.com posted this? No real proof it is actual at&t device!

Michael Hepples

How do you figure that? The device has AT&T branding on the front, and shows the AT&T boot screen. Yes, the casing could be changed, but the boot screen is hard coded into the device. A lot of work to go through to remove, just for a video.

dterio

"boot screen" showed AT&T wallpaper

Michael Hepples

What exactly do you think the boot screen is? Displays carrier branding prior to launching the UI. The fact that they used their wallpaper as the splash screen for the boot process is irrelevant. The fact their logo is the one featured as the splash screen during boot indicates it's an AT&T device. If you still can't understand that, go pull your battery.

This guy is no Kevin or Adam when it comes to making videos. Sheesh!

RIM hasn't released/leaked an OS for the 9780 with app names under the icons since .131 - I have no doubt the 9780 is coming to AT&T but this isn't one of the devices...

chustle925

Wow, I can't believe that Cincinnati Bell released the Bold 9780 befor AT&T..

crownr0yal

WOW. It loaded so fast!!!

xenorph

No fair! AT&T is can get the Bold 9780 but T-Mobile has yet to see the Torch 9800!!! :( At least T-Mobile does have the 9780 though! Great news for AT&T subscribers, you will love it!!!

Hey guys, www.laalo.com is selling a BlackBerry Blade Micro Charger for BlackBerry 8900 and Storm 9530 for $2.99. That price is very cheap.

chumpas

Has anyone installed BB OS 6 on an AT&T 9700? Which version?
How big is the OS in terms of size (MB)?

Deathcommand

Who here noticed that the loading bar was wrong?

xenorph

So from what I've gathered this should be released on Dec 7th

Well, I am really looking forward to upgrading my current phone I have now to this, I was using the bold 9700 but not using that anymore. I was looking into upgrading my phone to the blackberry torch 9800 but I prefer the design of the 9700, 9780 over the ugly but powerful 9800. Lets just hope it comes out in the middle of February since the last comment on here was in December.
