Small business owners can now harness the power of their bigger competitors with AT&T's new BlackBerry Professional Software for small business. The software provides a simple BlackBerry solution with many advanced featues with "small business" pricing. The software supports up to 30 wireless users and acesses email, calendar, contacts, data and interent access. The software will allow more AT&T BlackBerry users to connect with their small businesses.
"BlackBerry Professional Software will allow our small business customers to more easily afford and implement BlackBerry service so that they have many of the controls and security features and the productivity benefits of staying connected that large business customers enjoy," said Michael Woodward, AT&T vice president, Business Voice/Data and Wireless Products.
The software has a simple installation and full advanced features that typically are provided with BES. Simplified administration, pre-defined IT policies, stolen phone safeguards and more add to the draw of the new software. Designed to be installed on existing email servers that run Lotus, Domino, Microsoft Windows Small Business Server or MS Exchange, a tech will help along the installation process and the software will configure automatically. If at any time the base grows to over 30 users, easy upgrades to full BES are provided.
The base package that supports up to five users starts at $499, with a 10 user option at $849. Additional users can be purchased in five and ten packs. Special introductory pricing is available.
