You may have seen us feature Stunt Pilot previously for BlackBerry 10 smartphones and what a great game it is. The good news for you guys and girls running legacy devices is that the game is now also available for you - with a free version to let you get a taste of the action.

It's been a while since I've played any games on my BlackBerry Bold 9900 and to be honest, gaming on BlackBerry 7 compared to BlackBerry 10 is normally like two ends of the spectrum - however, Stunt Pilot plays beautifully.

The object of the game is to guide your plane through the hoops that are on screen. You'll need to avoid touching the edges of them - as well as the ground as that will turn your plane into a fireball.

Controls are nice and easy - use the 'Q' and 'P' keys for directions and you can also hit the 'W' or 'O' to speed your plane up. With beautiful graphics and nice smooth game play this one is a must for any BlackBerry.

The free version will allow you to play a certain number of levels, but if you like what you see and want to purchase the 'Extreme' edition it will only set you back £0.75/$0.99.

Agreed. My daily driver is Z10, and while I love the BB10 a lot more than BB7, I too miss holding that solid piece of beauty that is Bold 9900.

Same here... and I'm a texter and care less about apps.. so therefore I could easily switch to BB7.. but true bb10 is incredibly awesome!
The best OS ever!
if I had a bold I would use it as a travel-phone...

Since 2010 

The 9900 was and is a great phone, no wonder it won the best communications device. Those of you on the Bold hang tough and Berry on!

I think by the next phone BlackBerry will offer the best of both worlds (bb7/10). I can't wait to get my hands under some keys again, but also with some good screen real estate.

Loved the game but after installing it I received some thank you spam from the developer in my messages app.

I just purchase the full version for this app. According to the instruction it mentions that the next time you run the program it ask you for the license no. which they did give me it never asked me to install the no. How do I know if I got the full version which I paid for.
