Students and faculty members: Get free BlackBerry Jam passes
If you're a current student or faculty member looking to go to BlackBerry Jam in San Jose, here's your chance. RIM is offering up free passes for all students and faculty to attend this years event. All you need to do is send an email to BlackBerryAcademicProgram@rim.com and request the passes. The free passes are provided as part of the BlackBerry Academic Prorgam which provides tools for students to develop applications as well as learn about and manage BlackBerry devices. You can check out more on the program here. See you at Jam!

I would go if I had transportation, and wasn't in the middle of first year university. :/

They do, but you still have to prove you are a real developer. Getting a free pass doesn't exempt from being able to get one.
