Calling all BlackBerry Software Developers!! The time has come to kick things into high gear for your Storm apps. Vodafone has launched a BlackBerry Storm Developer Challenge and the top prize is 50,000 euros! Second and third place can take home 15,000 and 5,000 euros respectively. From Vodafone...

Vodafone is looking for the best application for the BlackBerry Storm. The brand new super-mobile BlackBerry Storm has arrived, so now's the time for great ideas: the search is on for new, smart and pioneering software for the Vodafone Smartphone. Resourceful developers taking part in the Vodafone innovations competition for the BlackBerry Storm not only have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win 50,000 euros the three best software applications will be provided as downloads for all users in the BlackBerry Application Center.

Developers have until 11:59CEST on April 30th, 2009 to submit their Storm apps to Vodafone. You can click the image at the top of this post for more details. Ok devs, get on it... CrackBerry Nation wants to see some kick a$$ apps!!!

As usual with developer contests the fine print of this contest is evil and discouraging to us developers. Vodafone would own the app out right and any intellectual property within it, including algorithms.

Jesus Christ, will they offer one for Verizon as well??? I HATE texting because my finger somehow lite up everyother letter than the one I'm hovering over, also while texting for some dumbass reason the cursor loves to jump back about 3 words and palnt itself there for some unknown reason, real frickin pain in my ass, also while video taping afet a minute or two the video recorder will lock up requiring me to take the battery out to restart it. Also sometime while texting my camera ends up coming on not allowing my to do ANYTHING but pull the battery out to restart it, YES i have downloaded the first update via Verizon and the crap still happens. I'm so ready to just throw my storm up against the wall and walk away but I wil give it a few more updates before I go that route.

SOMEBODY GIVE ME BLACKBERRYS SUPPORT LINE SO I CAN TALK TO THEM DIRECTLY

Lol, wow someone has issues with his phone. P.S. If you don't want your Storm anymore I'll take it!! I'm not smart enough to win this contest, but I bet it'll be a Crackberry member that does!

do you think its april 30th at midnight because they are planning on releasing the BB store front in march?

Also, apps for the 9500 will work with the 9530

I hope they are equal to or exceed the android OS, cause that's what I'm buyin' next.
