I'm confused, is the lite version only for 1 email address and the pro for up to 20? And then there is a regular StopMail for 2.99 so how many email addresses does that one use?

I wanted something like this. My emails run down my battery everynight. When I wake my phone is dead.

worlds worst logo and horrible interface but if it works this evening then who cares, stress caused from work emails flooding my BB after hours is well worth $2.99

Does anyone know if this will or will not use data when enabled. Like emails come through when im abroad so if this was enabled would it stop the data running up from emails?

So am I right in assuming that this app will prevent data usage when abroad?

I know that bbm etc will still consume data (albeit tiny amounts), but it's emails I'm worried about.

I'm just curious how the app works? I know you can stop emails from being delivered by logging into your BIS account, does this stop emails at BIS level? Or does it just stop them from arriving on your BB (which I assume will still use some data).

Blackberry has filters on your email settings. Set a filter not to receive any emails with @ in them which all emails have @. I used it for vacation and it worked great and it's FREE!

When I don’t want to be bothered by e-mails on my time off I just go to the e-mail filters and set them to not come to my devise. Duh!! No deleting necessary.

I sent off an email to the developer cuz I had a lot of questions and this might help explain each of the different apps because they have 3 versions.
=====================
Each of them will allow you to block all of your email accounts.

LITE only allows you to turn the account on or off. You cannot schedule it or recover deleted emails.

The regular version allows you to schedule a time period to block emails that will cover everyday. It also allows you to recover the last 20 emails deleted by the app.

PRO allows you to schedule a block for each individual day, for Weekdays, for Weekends, and everyday; for a total of 10 choices. You also can recover the last 20 emails deleted for each account on your device.

There will be an update later this week, due to requests, that will allow you to choose the number of emails to keep for each account for the PRO version, as well as an updated UI.

Let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions.

Chris

How about an app that enables mail over wifi instead of one that stops it altogether.

On vacation last week and wanted to receive calls but did not want the distraction of emails. Finally found the answer somewhere in the Crackberry forums. I change the email filters setting for " If No filters apply, send email to handheld to "No". Worked like a charm!

THis is retarded. You know, sometimes there's an app and we all say "This should just be built into the OS". For this app, it already is available via RIM!

Just go online, go to filters, and change to "Do not send mail to device".

I do this every time i travel int'l. I don't need emails, just BBM. I turn all data apps off (Google Voice, Google Maps, Google Sync, Weather). So only use BBM.

Works perfectly. I get charged very little on roaming data. Much cheaper than even calling for one minute.

I had been waiting for 4 years - since I first got a BB - to be able to turn my emails off at the weekends, or on holiday, and then get them to my inbox so I could go through them when I was ready to resume work.

You only have to look at the number of queries on all the BB forums, where people ask whether this can be done, to know just how much demand there is for this facility. Yes, the main reason for having a BB is for emails. But it's not the ONLY reason - some of us use the other features like camera, music, browser, calendar, etc - and you don't always want work and personal emails to come through.

All the other options - turning data off, or selecting 'send emails to handheld: No' - just weren't satisfactory as they stopped some important feature or other of the BB, or you couldn't then get the emails to your BB when you are ready to deal with them.

Sure, there's one or two quirks to the app - but they're well worth it for the benefit of being able to enable/disable certain email accounts when you want.

And the product's been improved quite a bit over just the last few weeks. It's definitely worth downloading if you want to be able to escape your work emails and have a life......
