PrivacyStar is an application that is great for blocking unwanted phone calls on your BlackBerry. It filters your inbound calls based on the preferences you choose. Some of the main features of the application include:

  • Reporting of potential violators of the Do Not Call laws to authorities
  • Blocking of all private or unknown callers
  • Real Caller ID & number lookup
  • Unlimited call blocking
  • SmartBlock automatically blocks the top 25 number blocked by PrivacyStar users

Right now I'm using I Caller ID and the app is huge. Maybe this would be a good alternative.

Privacy star let get this going. I hope its better than the first release. I downloaded and used it for the 2 weeks...It caused my Torch to freeze up alot because it couldnt decide what to do. For example when i get a text and a call the privacy star goes wacko....But if this is a better les buggy release then im all in.

I've used this on my Bold. Works great on 5.0 but not so well on 6.0. Hopefully the have worked out the bugs.

I love this app!!!!! It works on the first ring by stopping the call and not allowing a pain in the butt voicemail..Best app money can buy and easy to use!!!!!!! I recommend this to everyone!!!!!!!

I've paid for and downloaded a few different "meh" privacy apps. I don't do monthly fee apps so I've never given PrivacyStar a chance despite its good reputation. I'd love to try it for free for a bit and see if its worth the price!

I don't get too many unwanted calls, but the calls ARE increasing. I'd like to work with this program to have it in place as the call-volume increases.
