We first took a look at StockDaddy Turbo for BlackBerry 10 back in Q4 2013 and for those of you that need to keep an eye on what's going on in the world of stocks and shares it's the perfect way to do so. If you liked what you saw then but were reluctant to spend your cash I bring you good news. There is now a free edition available to download.

As you would imagine, the free edition is stripped down in comparison to StockDaddy Turbo but it still allows for the following features:

  • Real-time quote for Major Stock Exchanges
  • Create upto 3 Portfolio(s) including Multi-Exchange Portfolio
  • Interactive Dashboard
  • Add upto 5 stocks in each Portfolio
  • Add Selling Stock Information
  • Currency Converter
  • 5+ Major World Stock Market Index
  • Custom news based on Company
  • Backup/Restore data to/from the Media Card and the Device
  • Settings section (swipe-down gesture)
  • Help section (swipe-down gesture)
  • Sort Sold Stocks based on Gain/Loss, Name or Sold Date
  • Intra-day and last 5 days Yahoo graphs
  • Optimized to take as little network bandwidth as possible
  • Optimized for BlackBerry Z30/Z10/Q10/Q5
  • A lot more for you to explore

Not bad don't you think? If this one looks your cup of tea why not give it a go? If you feel the need to upgrade to StockDaddy Turbo it will only cost a couple of bucks. Stockdaddy is available for all BlackBerry 10 handsets.

I am working on getting very close to getting real-time interactive charts in the paid version and might do in the free version too. However will release an update at the end of this week!

Try Quick Stock. Real Time and Interactive. Much smoother and simpler interface.

StockDaddy is very cluttered and clumsy and Stocks is quite laggy I find.

I have tried and TBH, I have find that way too confusing for a Stocks App (with all respect for the developers).
I am very open for suggestions and I am working my ass off to make the best and most comprehensive Stocks App. I will be releasing an update end of this week or early next week to filter some "clutter" and "clumisiness" + interactive charts + more useful info
you can write to me at for your suggestions.

Why doesn't the link to the app open in the BlackBerry World App?

Does for me?
