The popular native BlackBerry 10 app Stock Daddy Turbo has received a very nice update bringing it to version 1.2.1.0. The two big changes here are the integration of StockTwits and importing Google portfolio. I'm far from an expert on stocks, but that sounds impressive to me. In addition, the application has received its 'Built for BlackBerry' certification, which we all like to see.

We first took a look at Stock Daddy Turbo some time ago and if need be you can catch up with that post here to check out many of the features of the application. Presently, Stock Daddy Turbo needs to left running as an Active Frame in order to get the Stock Alert notification to work, but as soon as we get an OS update this one will go headless.

  • StockTwits Integration
  • Importing Google Portfolio
  • Adding Stock Options
  • Custom News based on the Company
  • Pull to Refresh
  • UI Improvements
  • Interactive Dashboard
  • Create Multiple multi-exchange portfolios

Good stuff ,when is that OS update coming ?

Do you know if the alert rules are cloud based? That is to say, I would like the app to send the alert rules to a server which would then push an alert notification to the app when a rule is met. That would save a lot of data and battery use.

Have a look at https://ifttt.com/ where you can create rules to scan for changes in various data sources and trigger messages to different clients so you can pick them up via email etc. Processing is all server-side.

Funny name. How does this compare to Bloomberg?

I have got few comments about the name. Whats wrong with it?
Anyways, Bloomberg is great however StockDaddy Turbo includes multiple aspects related to Stocks app experience as it includes features like StockTwits integration, importing Google Finance Portfolio, Create multiple portfolios, Stock Options.
Highly recommend to check the URL on the post or search StockDaddy Turbo in the BB World

You should add a "BBRY quick-buy" button. There will be a lot of buying over the next year!
