I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this new animated BlackBerry theme and think to myself... Now that's Brilliant!

Just in time for winter and the holiday season, Bplay's new Fireplace theme will help you stay warm and get into the festive spirit! The theme is supported on all 8100, 8300, 8200, 9000, and 8800 devices with the exception of the 8830 and sells for $5.99. ...most animated themes push 1MB is size, and the 8830 just doesn't have enough on-board memory to take that sort of punishment.

Animated themes will freeze the 8830 running 4.2.2 on the lock screen, requiring at best a battery pull whenever the device is locked, and a worse a device wipe.

Just went to the site and it says I have to have a data plan just to install the theme, this is not my understanding at least not with other themes I have installed, not did I need the internet connection, just d/l them on the puter and used DM to install. I like this theme but need to know if the above is true or not before getting it.

That is correct. Themes are only available via OTA download from Bplay.

It would be nice to know if the Homescreen is customizable.
Meaning I can choose which apps go where. Bplay does not tell me this info.

A Theme Builder for the Storm is not yet available. Once it is, we will begin producing themes for the device.

Re: the 8830; we are sorry, but we simply cannot support this device for animated themes at this time.

The issue is not theme size. As mentioned above there is an issue with the 8830 4.2.2 OS, which causes the device to become unusable with animated themes. While it is not an issue with OS 4.5, we must limit sales to all 8830 devices in order to avoid the risk of damaging devices.

Well, if your running OS 4.5 on your 8830, don't try to purchase animated themes for an 8820 thinking you can install on your 8830. They will not download after you purchase them.

I bought it earlier tonight, i LOVE it.
the log is a big thing in our family around christmas time.
(not that we dont have real fire places..but a fire on tv? we always wait for that hand to come in and turn the fire)
anyways its very cool to have on my phone.

not loving the colours of the emoicons..but they suit the theme! :D

when I follow the install link on my 8330 I get the error "please visit this url with your blackberry device" Any suggestions? I am using the Internet Browser and I'm in Canada with a data plan.

The only thing that kept him sane was his BLACKBERRY. KEVIN HAS TO POST THIS VIDEO UP. HE HAS TO. THIS MAN WAS LOCKED IN HIS HOTEL ROOM AFTER TERRORISTS ATTACKED IN MUMBAI.
