Prepare yourself for a new gaming addiction with Squiggle Racer

If you're looking for a a new addiction when it comes to gaming I have to point you in the direction of Squiggle Racer. You won't find this one in BlackBerry World just yet as it's only available for iOS and Android, but thanks to BlackBerry 10.2.1 that's not an issue for us as you can download it from the Amazon Appstore (instructions at the base of the article).

The game is as simple as guiding the racing car around the track using the left and right on-screen tabs, but OMG it's hard. Practice makes perfect though and this is what makes the game so addictive.

With old school 8 Bit graphics and a selection of tracks to unlock, Squiggle Racer is the perfect game for when you have a few minutes to kill. You can grab it for free so you have no excuse not to.

Squiggle racer works on all BlackBerry 10 devices but I have to say that the Q10/Q5 experience is no way as good as on an all touch BlackBerry's. Maybe this will be addressed when the app is officially made for BlackBerry 10?

Features include:

  • Simple and fun gameplay
  • Beautiful pixel art graphics
  • Multiple race tracks to choose from, each with unique challenges.
  • Earn laps on all tracks to be the total track lap leader!
  • Score leaderboards and achievements!

Been playing for a couple weeks now and only at 8 laps. Hate this game. And by that I mean I can't stop playing.

I can't get beyond 5 laps... I almost made it to 6 once, but I keep failing now lol damn evil games like this

Is the developer making a BB10 version? When you post apps that don't have a BB10 version available could you post their website /contact information?

Hey guys,
Charlie here, the creator of Squiggle Racer. Seeing as you are all a passionate bunch (love it!), I will do my best to port this to BB for sure. It might not be for a few weeks, so you may have forgotten me by then. :-D

I wanted to let you know I saw these posts and I downloaded the BB SDK the other day and I'm digging into the details. I need to go buy a test device so I don't release garbage to you all, unless someone knows where I can get one for free for testing? :-D

Unless they officially announced it, I think you mean IF it comes to BlackBerry 10.

Just curious - did a native bb10 app miss a review opportunity, because of this review? I'm no developer but I wonder what BlackBerry developers think about this - and could it become a trend?

Please port or make native version. Thanks!

(not another time waster, or I can push it away until it's in BBW!)

iPhone for me? Scr... ahem Q that! (posted from the latter)

Game is good fun but I would prefer a bug free, ad/hassle free native version. I would be happy to pay.
