If you own a BlackBerry Q10 and are on Sprint, you'll want to go ahead and check for software updates. Reports from the CrackBerry Forums and notice on the Sprint website indicate the carrier has started pushing out OS 10.2.1.3023 for the BlackBerry Q10. While many folks are still going through the changes in the forums, according to the Sprint documentation, here's what you can expect is fixed and changed.

  • Stop receiving new emails from existing accounts
  • Improvements accessing BlackBerry Hub
  • Contacts may show duplicate links for the same account
  • Battery gauge displays the incorrect charge
  • Unable to connect to a car kit using Bluetooth

Have you got the update notification? If so, let us know how it's working out for you in the comments below or head on into the CrackBerry Forums and let others know. Not everyone may have it yet as Sprint notes, software updates may be released in stages and can take several days for delivery but you can always update manually through Sachesi if you're impatient.

Just received it. Not in WiFi at the moment. I'm curious to see if the battery gauge changes what it's been showing. Seems to of been lower than when I first got it

'Battery gauge displays the incorrect charge'

Will this mean that in the future us STL100-1 users will see our incorrect charge corrected? Really hope so!!

Sprint passed on the Z10, so I believe the Q10 is the only BB10 device they have offered.

Guess that means att will be getting it as well......hopefully before Xmas!!

Ouch!

Swiped via CB10 with my T-Mobile USA (Only T-Mo rep still pushing  )  Z30 (STA100-5), son! The Thor's Hammer of phones! Member of "Club Z30 "..... the most exclusive club in mobile. Once you go BlackBerry, everything else is wack-berry! #longestsignatureever

I got the issue of notifications for existing account but now with the last os update in france It's fixed. But I now I have an issue with the volume level : when I click on high or low volume I dont see the notification but the volume changed.
And with that Often I have a issue of the quick answer mode : It's like "cut" on my screen.

When I "check for updates" on my device, does it just link to whatever my carrier provides? If so, is there not a way to download software updates directly from BlackBerry? It seems like there should be...

If you bought your phone from your carrier, then you're at their mercy when you check for updates. If you buy your phone factory unlocked, updates come through quicker. All updates come from BB--the only thing that may be different is whether you have a gatekeeper (carrier) or not.

Happened to mine right after the update as well but it changes back to their names again. Just give it time

And I put it under this post.

"BlackBerry appoints Dr. Sandeep Chennakeshu President of BlackBerry Technology Solutions Business Unit"

;o)

Take care.

I am very happy with BB that they send me update when needed!
I had no issues but happy to see that the OS and software are continued to be improved.

Never experienced any of the issues this supposedly fixed, however, it completely f***** all my text messages adding a +1 in front of every contact number so now they don't display the contact name.

Yeah, mine too. You have to delete the conversation. All new conversations will show the contact name. Quick fix.

Maybe check up the Smart Dialing options in the Phone app Settings. Make sure it is pointed to USA.

I've got 10.2.2.932 on my Q10 from Vodafone Germany today.

Z10 and Z30 are still on 10.2.1.2977

Posted with my Z10 or Z30! ..mostly on my Q10. ..while looking forward to a BB slider and of course waiting for the Passport and Classic.

Some of my contacts have lost their phone numbers associated with them. In the case of a contact with only that phone number associated, which is now gone, the contact was deleted. Please advise fix? BlackBerry Protect restore?

Im 100% sure AT&T will never get this. Or maybe 10.3 phones will be out before we get the update. AT&T is right there with T Mobil on hating BlackBerry!! Just venting and crying around. Lol.

"Is the update only sprint?..."

I don't know...hard to tell from the title of the article and its contents...

I updated it yesterday and it is working great. I am monitoring my battery usage though. I will update my post in a day or so.

I got it yesterday afternoon. I should've snapped a pic of the change log. I haven't really looked for changes as of yet though.

Too bad I had to leave them. They are somewhat of a mess. My old faithful Bold 9930 was accepted on their network. Z10, nope. They informed me they couldn't support gsm signal. I explained that the Bold was set to " Universal" and there wasn't a problem. I was told they never supported the Z10. Oh well. Good by Sprint.

I denied update upon notification that it was ready - they forced update without my request. Lost most of my preference settings & access to my email, but I was able remember the preferences and reset them. Only problem that lingers is that when I click on "HISTORY" to go back to a previous web browse it says; "NO BROWSING HISTORY". Used to hold all my browsing history for 2 weeks (I set 2 weeks for history to be deleted from all choices offered in SETTINGS. Hopefully it'll come back like other features did (as mentioned in previous posts).

Battery life after the update is truly awful. 3 hours and I'm down to 53%, good signal strength area, and it's been a week since I upgraded. Not too happy about this turn of events; it had great battery life before, now I may as well be an iPhone user. :(

So, a couple of days after posting this comment, my Q10 made a dramatic turnaround and battery life is now back to what it was before the update. I've never had it take so long before, but I guess all's well that ends well.
