RemindMe

Back in July, Sprint offered the popular BeBuzz app to it's customers at no charge. Now Sprint has another promo with an app to help keep all those holiday get togethers straigt. RemindMe, a popular reminder app by Quite Simple, is available for FREE until December 15th. We've covered RemindMe here on our blogs before but here's a brief overview of it's features.

  • Seamless integration with your BlackBerry Calendar, Contacts & Maps
  • Automatic email reminders
  • Three different notification icons (changes as the event gets closer)
  • Visible indicator in your BlackBerry notification bar
  • Import events from your BlackBerry Contacts
  • Export events (CSV format)

Never worry about missing that next holiday party or birthday with this handy Super App! RemindMe is also available to purchase in BlackBerry App World for $4.99 if you're not a Sprint customer.

Unfortunately, my damn 9930 has quite a few bugs, some of which would limit the benifits of this app. For instance, my notification bar doesn't show any icons anymore.

Reboot should fix that.... it fixed for me on my 9900.

Oh, I've tried and tried. It's been like this for a month now. It's ok. I've learned to live with it for now, and just hope that the next OS update (whenever that will be!) Will fix it.

Ok. So I just downloaded the app. It's very lean, quick and clean. Even the notification icon showed in my notification bar!

However - there is one HUGE drawback for me using this app instead of entering something directly In the calendar (which I do many times a day). You can put in the date of the event, but not the time. When I have many events happening each day, I rely on it. I've checked the options in the app and I don't see anything that allows you to add a specific time.

Fortunately, BB's calendar works perfectly for me. But it was fun checking out this app.

I agree, a time slot would be very helpful. I just put the time in the notes section...

No timeslot? That's just silly.
