Yesterday Sprint dropped the word on Twitter that the BlackBerry Tour would be released on July 12th, and it looks like they showed it off on Sprint.com as well. Some eagle-eyed members caught a glimpse of the announcement on Sprints home page. Their Tour page hasn't been updated as of yet, but you can still sign up to "Remind me when its out" if you really want to. Thanks to everyone that sent this in! Bookmark/Search this post with:

I still can't get this page to load. I've been tryin for a week already. All I see is the regular phones. No Tour. I saw it last Friday but not with any dates. Come on
I can't wait to leave Verizon! The Storm sucks, their charges suck and for the past month their service sucks!
i'm on the same page! the storm does suck and they're over priced. for the same plan i have with vzw i can get w/sprint and save close to $500 a year or roughly $40 a month.
I will stand in line if I had too for a Tour. Get me a sprint phone pls!!

Gee, I wonder why they are waiting so long to let us see the details on this device? Maybe it's because they know the backlash they are going to get when they inform the public that it won't have WiFi.
There's going to be a mass riot when they find out lol... (and by mass I mean 4-5 ticked off people, speaking in Sprint numbers here...)
That way, I know it wont be sold out. LOL
I own the Storm and love it BUT the Tour Looks very good. I miss my keypad and thetouch is not like the IPhone.
Does anyone else find it weird that sprint announces this on twitter only? I find it so unofficial. Maybe its just me. I would hate to find out this is a big joke because i want this phone so bad!!

I finally got the website to show me the Tour with the relese date. However why hasn't Sprint emailed this info? I read here that someone wasn't notified for the Curv last year. That's very odd.
Just left Sprint for Tmo. Cant get a good signal in my apartment or my job. At least with the 8900 I can now use UMA in my apartment.
hopefully if I win, the alltel version will be useable on verizons network. I am quite sure that as advertised the new tour will be a winner. I am currently a curve 8330 user and look forward to the new advanced features of the tour. It would be great if and average joe like me, without all the crazy skills of most of crackberry site users could have a chance to win a tour. thanks and love all the help

it's lame that Sprint didn't even give courtesy to those who had signed up to be notified or premier customers even that the Tour was coming on July 12. most folks heard about it through a post somewhere else linking back to that tweet. someone above said it right; so unofficial, looks like they're reacting to the masses & their butt hasn't caught up to their eyeballs.
WHAT???? July 12th...that is so much better than the 20th that I kept hearing...I cannot wait.
I talked to a buddy @ Best Buy and he said something about the 20th in Best Buy. Hmm. he did't know what the Tour/Niagra or 9630 a couple months ago. lol. so i reapplied to help them get on track
