Really? I mean.. seriously... this app isn't available for the Storm, and it's not available on Verizon? At least that's what App World is telling me:

"This application is not available on your device or for your carrier".

Wow.. maybe nobody should buy the Storm 2, seeing as the original doesn't seem to be supported enough.

My appworld says that this is not available for my device or my carrier, even though my device (Storm) is listed and the app say sthat all carriers are supported.

It says you can customize it, anyone know how? I added my favorite teams but can't get rid of sports I don't want, I really don't need to follow soccer.

No issues with BBAW downloading SI and VZW on a Tour 9630. Nice looking app!

Perhaps there was a temporary hiccup.....I have a Tour on Verizon and I just downloaded from appworld fine and it runs fine.

Now, to figure out how to get a tab that goes right to the swimsuits.... :)

Think the not available problem has been fixed. Just downloaded it for my 9530 Storm on Verizon. Very nice looking app.

Not Available on Verizon or Storm - Imagine That

Whatever was causing issues is apparently fixed.. I was able to download it successfully.

I have now had random other issues getting it going. I am hoping it is just new little app hiccups or the like.

No Storm or Verizon access??? Why do they think the Storm has such a big screen, just for finger prints?

Will this app track live scores, or is it final scores only?

Got it working on my Storm, but it keeps freezing on me (resulting in a battery pull). Anyone else having similar issues?

If you are just looking for scores, standings and game stats I recommend Score Mobile which is also free on App World.

I was at a game this weekend and my buddies with iPhones and Nokia smartphones could not access any of their Sport Scores apps. Way to go At&T!

Many thanks to Verizon and my Curve for letting me rub it in their faces with up to date scores! The only problem was I kept having to pass my BB to them through out the game.

If you wait a minute or so it will "unfreeze" and start working again. Not ideal, but a battery pull takes 5 min or so. I'll keep playing with it for a bit and see if it stops freezing up. :(

Seems too slow and buggy. I'll stick with Score Mobile.

I hate App World. If there is one thing I hate about Blackberry, it's App World. Did I mention I hate App World?

Even though on the the web it shows 8230 support, when I install BB App World it says my device is not supported. Which is why I had deleted App World in the first place... it does this all the time.

I'm done with App World. It's 700K of crap.

Apparently it is not available for AT&T BB users. I get a message saying it is not available for my phone or carrier. I am using a Bold 9000 on AT&T and the Bold is listed as supported.
Anyone else on AT&T able to get this app?

This app is a hog. ScoreMobile is much better.

Just noticed on the AppWorld website for this App it says "Supported Countries" is "Canada".

I didn't have any problems downloading from App World. (Storm 1, Verizon). Looks nice, but kind of slow.

Any other OTA besides getting it thru appworld? Will it work on 5.0 OS?

Downloaded to Storm (OS .167) via App World with no problem. Took a moment to load info but functioned fine opening and closing articles. Can choose what sports will be displayed in "personalize" function. Problem is that it freezes when I either back out or use the close function. I tried changing application permissions but it had no effect. Compatibility mode is disabled. Any ideas?

The app is visually appealing but clicking Game summary, News, Stats, Standings ect brings up the browser and is linked ot a mobil site. Score Mobil has all of this intergrated, I might just be a pain but I dont like how the app has to open the browser

Real slow and freeze up when you exit the application. Fix it..

Where are the other scores....they dont have CB scores...all they have is mlb and nfl. It also seems to be a little slow. Im gonna stick with scoremobile. Once they add more sports scores and optimize it for speed, ill go back and download it again

Downloaded pretty fast and seems to be working fine.

Oh yah and I also hate how the app opens the browser sometimes for certain scores and other things. Note to app makers: Make apps that dont open to the browser....its annoying, besides, isn't that what apps are for so you dont have to go to the browser

I use a Blackberry Curve 8330 on Verizon and the app loaded without difficulty and is working fine.

I noticed that the link on the article takes you to the web version of app world and links to a program called "Sports Illustrated SI" (no dash). That doesn't seem to install...

I originally followed the story to the web version of app world, and e-mailed the link to my Storm. No go.

Going to the App World (via the app on my Storm) takes you to "Sports Illustrated-SI" (with the dash). That one installs just fine.

You can find both versions on the web version of App World too now... I didn't see both first thing this morning.

Wow... hiccups all the time on web world it seems.

Seems to freeze up, especially on exit (VZW Tour). Haven't customized it but it looks sweet. Hopefully the freeze-ups will get resolved.

The download and instillation worked great on my Verizon Curve. The fade in when you open it was really cool. It was real easy to personalize and eliminate the sports I didn't want. So far so great! Now, when will ESPN come out with one?!

When I try to download from BB App world it says it's not compatible with my device. Yet, in the compatible devices the storm is there????

It works when you go into App World on your phone and search for Sports Illustrated. The post above is correct it needs to have the dash in it.

When I first downloaded it, worked great, went to exit the application and thought it locked up my Tour. After letting it sit for about 4 minutes, it exited the app. Upon using it again, it works perfectly and exits immediately. My guess is that the first time you load it, it gets hung up on the initial final installation elements and likely the first sync with SSI...

Now seems to work ok.

UPDATE: It always does a 30 second to 1.5 minutes lockup when I exit now (loads fast on startup). I'll stick with mobile based web sports for now... (also, not sure how much space this app will end up taking (it does a lot of downloading, not sure how these apps control space usage... I also personally dislike apps with graphical advertisements (take up space and they don't load after downloading the data your looking for, thus makes me wait for my data). I do recognize that some apps need ads to be free (however my guess is that this is also a way to market their other products, e.g. magazine, cable channels, etc..), thus ads are unnecessary?)

I know this is personal opinion... thought it might help for those that are thinking about it... Other polar apps seem to have the same issues (I had the same issues with BusinessWeek).

Just installed and un-installed it. It slowed my Tour (on Telus) to a crawl when updating info. Looks like a great app, but a little buggy at this point?

After d/l and install, this app just locks up after running and loading the main page content. Any other having same issues?

I had no problems at all installing it from http://app.si.com on my BB Bold. Also, didn't find it took too long to load or took too much memory here.

I have really grown to like the dedicated apps, especially this one and the Time magazine one, which seems to be the same backbone as this one. I wish more publications did this, as they all have one for iPhone (are you listening New York Times and Huffington Post?)

I had been longing for an ESPN app for BB like they have for iPhone, but think this does everythign I would have hoped ESPN would do. I will probably keep ScoreMobile as well, since the scores feature doesn't seem all that great, but the news articles and features are great.

What is the purpose of this site and app? An epic FAIL!

I downloaded SI thru Blackberry App World, installed it, rebooted for the sake of doing it, and upon reload SI locked my phone up so I had to do a battery pull. I tried again and again it happened. Nice while it lasted but for some reason it doesn't like my phone.

Not worth the download if the score tabs do not update with real time scores...
