A super puzzle game that's free - Spinball Special Edition for BlackBerry 10

By James Richardson on 11 Apr 2013 03:37 pm EDT

We've seen a few BlackBerry 10 games now where matching up the different colored objects is the aim of the game, but Spinball adds a whole new twist to things and as well as being pretty awesome it's free to download from BlackBerry World.

If you fancy a challenge then you should give this one a go. The game consists of seven discs each containing six colored balls on each. The discs can be rotated either clockwise or anti-clockwise by tapping each side of them. And the idea of the game is to match up as many of the same colored balls as possible. Once you have a combination in place you press the "Go" button at the base of the screen and that's how you earn points.

Just to make things a little more tricky there is a timer running at the top of the display. As you progress through the levels this time gets less and less meaning you really need to work for those points.

Costing no money you haven't really got an excuse not to give this one a try if you have a BlackBerry 10 device. Go on, grab it now.

Features of the game include:

  • Unique and highly addictive gameplay
  • Brilliant graphics and visual effects
  • Great music and sound effects
  • Endless hours of fun

What's bad? The game or the 'first' thing that is making my blood boil ;)

The Me

Seriously, let that person say first and don't reply your monkey talk on them. It doesn't hurt anyone and you're just feeding them. FORGET ABOUT IT. LET THEM BE FIRST.

Every time I see a new game post I hope it's Lexitron. I hope they bring it over as well.

Oh, you're waiting for Lexitron too :-) I've been playing it on PlayBook for nearly two years now. Would love to have it on BB10.

Love reading these posts about new apps!

This game looks like fun. Thanks for sharing.

Can only play first 5 levels then prompts me to buy it.

BTW, where do I get some of those notification badges? I would help communicating with wife if I hang 'em off my pants. Seriously though, I'd love to get some.

James Richardson

They are rubbers (erasers). I believe it has two meanings depending where in the world you are ;)

Seems to be just a demo of the paid version since it asks you to buy it with annoying regularity

James Richardson

Oops, I wasn't that good at it to be honest. Anyway, some folk will pay for it. Pretty good game.

It's not a game, it's a demo and yes demos are FREE!!

What makes peoples blood boil more: an inaccurate and misleading game review or people who want to be first......
