It's summer time... which means it's time to freshen up the look of your BlackBerry smartphone and what better way to do so with an awesome new theme from Elecite? Elecite has just released Solar - a fresh new theme for BlackBerry Storm, Bold and Curve 8900 devices which is sure to liven up your Berry and turn some heads with its nice green color scheme.

Integrated WeatherBug or Weather eye slots and an oversized clock help set this theme off. Alll icons are user-customizable but the amount displayed on the main screen will depend on which device you have so be sure to check out all the screenshots available for each one.

It's a very light theme to be using and does not cause any lag from my testing. The only thing I didn't like about this theme is the wallpaper, it's almost too green and blends in a bit with the icons. I found what looks really great is a plain black wallpaper. Solar sells for $6.99.

Superb design, easy to customize. Bought it right away and I simply love the way my phone looks now!

Just downloaded this theme, BUT THIS THEME IS 1.9MB not 600KB. Its freaking huge!! Would of never bought it if I knew it was this size. Thanks for the bad information Blaze. How did you get 600KB out of 2MB!?

My apologies kamilli0n, when I downloaded it, I downloaded it for the Storm and the Bold to try it on both..the Bold version is just over 600kb and I input the wrong data, and you are indeed correct the Storm version is much larger. I have updated the blog post to reflect the differences

Maybe it's something else, I need to check a few things but I suspect that this theme drains the memory like crazy...It goes down 1K every 30 minutes...

But the phone still look good

Yeah I'm noticing the memory loss too. I also upgraded Facebook at the same time so maybe that's what's doing it...

If it is this new theme, I want my money back!

There was too many stuff working in the back ground. I've cleaned it all and I'm running at 32K since 6PM...

How on earth did you get the font for the time that big and without the semi colon. I have been trying to do that, but I figured it was impossible.
