Software Updates Coming to Sprint 8350i Soon!

Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8350i owners will want to make note of this... we just got word from Sprint that updated software will be available next week that should solve some of the glitches you may have been encountering. Here's the word:

We've seen several posts on Crackberry discussing Sprint's BlackBerry Curve 8350i. We wanted to share the information below with you for your readers.

Sprint is working very closely with RIM to develop maintenance release software to resolve issues identified on BlackBerry Curve 8350i. The first software maintenance release will be available on next week. Sprint will notify BlackBerry Enterprise Server customers the maintenance release is available through their IT administrators, and Sprint BlackBerry Internet Service customers will be notified through a PIN to PIN message.

We are diligently working on a fix for the known echo issue. It will not be fixed in this first release, but we are doing our best to identify the issue and correct it and hoping to include that fix in the next software release. One option that helps alleviate the problem would be to use the headset that comes packaged with the phone.

Sprint is also working with RIM on a second maintenance release to address the remaining issues, and hope to have it available shortly. Any customers have issues during the upgrade they can call care at 1-800-639-6111. 

Have patience 8350i owners. RIM and Sprint are working to get things up to snuff. In the meantime, be sure to visit our Curve 8350i forums to stay on top of everything.

I have only been on CB consistently for the past 4 months - is it typical for a carrier to send you a note like that? BTW - I am a 9 year Sprint customer and love their service but wish they would update the RIM line a little quicker!

I have called several times about the texting issue, and was given the run around by inexperienced technical support reps until someone finally informed me about the software update. It still doesn't work but i did manage to get a credit for the first month for the texting and will continue to call for it unless it gets resolved. I left sprint to go to nextel annd then sprint followed. the service went downhill from there. they do nothing for valued customers which is a huge disappointment and never have the answers when a problem comes up.

Hey that sounds great (no pun intended) ... but how about getting them to release it to the users on the Telus/MiKE network and fix the problem with not being about to send sms/mms text messages since the option has been removed from the phone !!!

It's about time that Sprint/Nextel talked to the customers and thanks to Kevin and crackberry for giving the 8350i A forum and a voice.

This is the 1st BB I've ever hard. Had it for one day and I can tell you that it will be the last BB I'll ever own. The texting issue was the deal breaker for me. Because of this, I missed several important work related texts that I will most likely have to face the consequences come Monday morning! I really hope Sprint/Nextel release the maintenance software upgrade per comment above.

Hi can you please fix out this imei problem for me have try all method to get correct imei whenever i log in the imei no they told me invalid imei no kindly help.
