I found this on my blackberry yesterday when fiddling around. It was the only picture on there.

Like everyone else, I'm slightly disappointed with the software. I have received numerous errors, unhandled exceptions, and just slow response times.

I hope they fix it and make it much quicker.

Must had to take the pic quickly before anybody seen them take the shot.

Everyone but me seems to be having problems with .65 ... my big fingers must be making it work fine.

I have noticed somethings that I would like Zipped up a bit, but for the most part I am happy with it. The browser can get slow on some pages but I am not gonna bash the phone for that. I love my Storm. Was extremely lucky in that I stopped at a Best Buy 10 minutes before it opened and got their only one. They had three others but they were pre-ordered. Can't believe my luck.

Seriously, thing looks like it was taken with an iPhone 3G held by a cameraman (factory worker) with Parkinsons.

Eh, I'd rather see their conception ;)

I went out and played with the storm as Kevin had suggested and indeed I was not sold by the Storm. I currently have a Bold and would not trade it. Few reasons why;

1. Experienced a few hang-ups in short period of time.
2. As a ''power user'' I did not find the keyboard agile enough.
3. Personally I did not like that the whole screen clicked down.

It is more of a fun phone and for light email users. The design, hands down it is the best looking BB out there.

brunodeatlanta11, after having the Storm for a day I cannot disagree with you. I have had to do 2 reboots, and now doing a wipe and restore. Yet as a power user of about 8 years with PDA's/PDA phones since the first Kyrocera palm version...I will say I bet the update will make a big difference. I am stuck with Verizon: I like the customer service; secondly, my family and business partners all have Verizon. I have unlimited minutes but it makes it easier on them to talk to me. I will also say that I am sold on the Storm primarily becuase it is also a "world" phone. And the best world phone that Verizon has in my opinion. The keyboard drives me mad, but like anything it takes a while to get used to it. So I won't abandon the device just yet even though I just did a wipe and restore. I am sure I could have figured out what caused the problem other ways but just thought I would do it to see how long it took (way too long) 1GB of memory to wipe!

By: Anonymous (not verified) | Date: Sat, 11/22/2008 - 12:31

the wipe takes a long time because the memory is 'scrubbed'. formatting & deleting only affects things like the partition tables and file allocation tables. the scrub actually writes blank data to the card to ensure things are definately gone. say you had a file with private information, if you format the card, the file will be 'deleted', but all someone has to do is enable mass storage over USB, load up a hex editor, and with a little knowhow, piece the file back together.

Well. Sorry to hear that so many people had trouble getting their Storm. I found out three weeks ago that Best Buy was doing pre-orders, so I went in and put my $50.00 holding deposit down and kept in touch with them until launch day. Since I was the first one to put a holding deposit down at this particular store, I was the first one in the store at 10am (that is the appointment time I was given). Now, to make matters BETTER, I left only paying $161 AFTER TAX! Best Buy was able to offer a better deal than Verizon. Best Buy told me that at that particular store, they only had 5 pre-orders - unbelievable. So, I had no lines to wait in and no outlandish price to pay - thank god for Best Buy! As far as the Storm goes - I really like it. I love the sleekness and the weight feels just heavy enough to be reassuring of it's durability, but not to where it's cumbersome.

Eh hem...the name I am considering for this phone is Marilyn (as in Monroe) because of it's sheer beauty and sexiness.

I heard a rumor on this site that Verizons Storm was going to be offered on other carriers under the name Thunder (or surname Thunder) can anyone in this thread clarify that for me? I just can't stand Verizon (it's not the touch screen honest xD -lol)
