SmartBCarMode for your BlackBerry Storm - 50 Free Copies

By ObiGeorge on 3 Dec 2009 09:43 am EST

When enabled SmartBCarMode displays 6 large buttons for easy access while driving. These icons can be customized to your liking, adding useful quick access to applications such as voice dialing, maps, contacts, and search. The time, battery level and network coverage are also displayed at the top of this app and the orientation is locked to portrait mode to prevent unwanted rotation while driving. Having this app makes accessing your BlackBerry a lot less difficult while on the road. SmartBCarMode is $0.99 and is available for the 95xx in the CrackBerry App Store.

Contest: We have 50 free copies of SmartBCarMode to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment - multiple entries won't count.

SmartBCarMode for your BlackBerry Storm - 50 Free Copies

This would prove to be useful. I travel a lot with my Storm and always fumble around to find the maps or someone in my address book while driving because of custom themes. This little gem looks like it could help me out with that problem!

This would be a great addition to my phone as especially for the reason I am in my truck on the road all the time. I would love to have a copy of this app. Thanks.

In before the righteous "YOU SHOULDN'T BE USING IT WHILE DRIVING!" commenters post.

I do want this.

this would be great for driving. looks like it would really solve the problem with fulmbing through the phone while driving... really hope i win this one.

Just what we need - more oblivions driving around with with their face in their Blackberry, instead of paying attention to the roadways and to their fellow citizens. Wouldn't it be ironic if one of the 50 free recipients of this application kills another one of the fifty by causing a car accident because they were using the now handy search function to find some old email on their cell phone. Better yet, maybe it will be the programmer of SmartBCarMode who get's run down. This application should be called DumbBBlackberryUser.

I travel 480 miles a week for work and this would make the trip that much more safer.

Thank you!

This would make driving alot easier... sure its not legal to do anything on your phone while driving here in Ontario but this will make it easier to hide ;)

This App will make it safe to get to my Storm while driving. I can see it will minimize my distraction and keep me focused on the road.

Definately seems to be a handy app.... I hate having to search through the interface to find shit when on the road

This is an outstanding safety tool. Although I am against any use of a mobile device while driving, if you have to do it, use something like this tool.

I would love to win this!

funny that i spilled coffee all over my car this morning because i was looking down and trying to find a button on my storm! this looks like a great app!

Street signs across america would benefit greatly from the wide distribution of this app. I myself almost took one out trying to access my BB on the road.

This would be an awesome app for me to have, considering I seem to almost always be in my car lol

I had something similar for my Xperia a while back which was really useful. Unfortunately the rest of the phone wasn't ! But this looks a very useful app.

This is an awesome idea, and really it should be free so that everyone can use it because it would make the roads that much safer! :)

sounds like avery useful app ... I drive alot and use bluetooth but this would make the phone use much easier thats for sure let me have it for free
Thank to crackberry

I would love to have this app! Having larger buttons will make me a safer driver (I use bluetooth, of course)!

This looks great. I know not to play with my phone while driving, but it seams I am doing it more often than not!

This is a tremendous app to have while driving! If I don't win, I'm gonna buy it anyways. Thanks for the contest, CB!

Actually trashed a rental car cause I was trying to find the google maps icon. Help me before I crash again!

This looks like one of those "why didn't I think of that!?" apps. I'll take a copy please! Now if they can get a modified keyboard for those of us that have to enter a password to unlock the device.. :)
