Slacker is by far the worst of all the internet radio services.

It just doesn't work very well. Hell, iHeartRadio works better than Slacker.

If you want to listen to internet radio, download Pandora. Much greater variety of music compared to Slacker.

Alot of people say Pandora offers more music but that's actually not true. they offer about the same but you have to adjust the slacker settings within slacker.com which granted, is alot harder to navigate/understand then Pandora.

A couple of weeks ago, I spent more than an hour trying to subscribe to Slacker but my credit cards (all with plenty of credit available) kept getting rejected. I thought there might be a mismatch because the site said they didn't accept subscriptions to PO Boxes, so I called both Visa and Amex to add my physical address as a separate shipping address.

I finally tried their kludgy online chat and was informed that I would "have to get a card registered to a physical address. Prepaid cards are a good option." They also wouldn't give me a phone number to contact a real person.

WTF? Guess what, Slacker? I don't HAVE to switch my credit card billing to my physical address because I don't HAVE to subscribe to your service. You guys are toast and Pandora got my $$$.

I purchase tens of thousands of dollars in goods and services with my business credit cards every year and have NEVER encountered this with ANY other merchant.
