Skype users should be pleased to see that an update to the app has rolled out over the past 24 hours. As you'll see below, there's a nice selection of enhancements, in particular, the addition of the typing indicator so you can see when someone is typing.
I can't say that I'm a big user of the app, mainly because it's an Android one and not native BlackBerry 10. Most of the time this doesn't bother me, but with Skype I just don't like the notifications, or more the fact that they are too quiet and I can't seem to change that.
Over the years Skype has been the go-to app for keeping in touch with friends and loved ones overseas, but now that BBM is cross platform I find it a much nicer solution for my BlackBerry. Who agrees?
New in this update:
Typing indicator to see when someone is typing
Avatar picture now follows as you scroll to read longer messages
File type icons for shared office documents
Send feedback directly from the app (look under 'Settings')
