If you're looking for a theme that combines function, style, creativity and quality all-in-one package then there's no better developer to turn to than Elecite. Cell is their latest design to hit the market and it is beautiful. It is packed with features that makes sure you have everything at your fingertips.

This is a 4-layer theme with a metro-style look that takes all of your applications and displays them in an organized manner so you'll never have to go searching for them again. The first panel, accessed by scrolling or tapping on the top of the screen, is comprised of shortcuts to your social networking apps (Facebook and Twitter) at the top and 5 text shortcuts on the bottom. On the second panel which appears by going to the left of the screen you get a Today/Weather panel (1st icon slot) where you can see your notifications and upcoming appointments. The third panel on the right gives you the option of seeing 9 custom user definable icons (determined by app order # 2-9) or secondary quick access icons that is predetermined.

Finally, the minimalist home screen offers a user friendly experience that lets you customize your wallpapers, view notifications, battery and signal meters, and the date/time without cluttering up your display. I really love the flow of this theme and how the panels seamlessly appear and go back into their respective corners. Not to mention the grid like pattern of the application screen.

Elecite is known for their attention to detail and the easy to access panels allows those who want to show off their wallpaper do so and still locate all of the apps they need to function throughout the day. The only foreseeable issue is that track pad navigation is not available for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 and the social networking panel cannot be altered if you don't have Facebook or Twitter installed. The other downside is that Bold 99xx owners are limited to a transparent tray style theme based on the OS7 default theme so the features are limited. While the hidden panels are not compatible, the smooth performance, custom icons and overall layout of the home screen remain to give you fresh, crisp display with your favorite wallpapers and backgrounds.

Elecite's customer service is top notch as well. When downloading this theme 99xx users, including myself, noticed an icon discrepancy. After contacting them, they immediately jumped on the case and offered an upgraded version in BlackBerry App World to make sure we were up and running. While the $6.99 price tag is not everyone's ideal price, Cell is an elegant, simple, and efficient simple theme for your BlackBerry.
