Show Me the Images

Jerome let us know that his awesome app Show Me the Images has been updated to version 1.3. The new update brings some new features as well as fixes to keep things running strong. In case you've never heard of it, Show Me the Images lets you automatically show images in your emails so you don't have to choose to download them. You can choose to download for all emails, or create a "safe list" of specific addresses. Updates include:

  • Cleaner interface
  • Consolidate Addresses - Ability to scan safelist/blocklist for address that have common domain names and create one entry out of many!
  • WiFi-only download of images to save on data charges for users on limited plans
  • Download Attachments option to Show Me the Images menu entry (OS 5.0+; Images only)
  • Backup and Restore menus to Options screen.
  • Add e-mail address found in an active field to safelist or blocklist

Show Me the Images is available for $2.99 in the CrackBerry App Store for all devices.

Appreciate the fact that you listened to your customers and added Backup/Restore function. Thanks!

Now if Meterberry and MagicIcon would just do that...

This capability should be part of the basic BlackBerry OS. Its too bad there are shortcomings like this in the BB function that require someone else to innovate on BB's behalf. I'm not complaining about the price. $2.99 is a small price to pay for someone's technical ingenuity. Again, it's just too bad BB can't come up with capabilities/innovations such as this.

Makes viewing emails so much simpler, well worth the $3. Should be part of the standard OS for sure.

Once I downloaded the update & did a battery pull, it froze when I chose to consolidate 1-type of email address domain, so I did another battery pull and now it won't save my options, i.e., when I click on 'No' for Download only on WiFi & click save then exit out, when I open it again it still says 'Yes.'

shabazosu,

I was recently made aware of an issue with the "Consolidating..." dialog not closing out.

Please send this to support at bberrygo dot com so that I can look into getting a stable solution out.

Thanks!

This app would be cool, i often receive images in my email and have to click on get images which gets a little annoying
