Development on applications for BlackBerry 6 seems to be a bit slow so far, but ToySoft has their first app finished, and available for download. ShortcutManager lets you add shortcuts directly to your homescreen (or any other folder), for items as email addresses, PIN, SMS, contacts, phone numbers, and websites. Simply choose your type of shortcut, add a name and description, set the destination of the shortcut, and save it to your homescreen. You can also set an icon for each shortcut you create, adding some nice personalization to your BlackBerry 6 device. ShortcutManager also features the backup and restore of your shortcuts, as well as the ability to even shortcut an entire message. Overall, ShortcutManager is a very nice application. It has really helped speed up my overall productivity on my 9800. You can pick it up on sale for $2.99 at the CrackBerry App Store. It does require the BlackBerry 6 OS.

Contest:  We have 25 copies of ShortcutManager to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to enter.  Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST.  Please only leave one comment, multiple entries wont count.

I just got my torch 4 days ago and it rocks! this would be the first app i install on it! Love to have it :) thanks CB

I'd love to be able to create a homepage shortcut that takes me directly to my list of contact filters, so I can see a filtered list with just two clicks - can ShortcutManager do that for me?

I like short cuts. They make life that little bit easier. I'd like to make my life a little bit easier by making use of this shortcut mamanager.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm leak os 6 for my 9700!!

I would love to be in the running for a free copy of the ShortcutManager! Just got my BB Torch in the mail yesterday and charging it up. This app is right up my alley. Can't wait to get started. Read my Crackberry.com posts daily and find useful tools and info!!! Thanks! :-)

....just wouldn't be the same without out this. Now, we need an app that doesn't pseudo-delete my favorites with every re-boot, thought it seems only to happen with my BIS email accounts. grrrrrrr

Got my Torch last week. Loved it.... then hated it... went back to the 9700.... then tried it again... Loved it.... then hated it again.... went back to the 9700.. Then tried the torch AGAIN.. Loved it. Havnt gone back, and sold the 9700. Go Torch Go!

Anyone know where that CB wallpaper is located? I would love to have that on my phone.

It would be nice to add an application that truely has a clever and useful purpose to my new phone.

Thankyou Crackberry & Toysoft

I just bought a BB Torch and have not downloaded any apps yet. So this would be a really great one to start with. I previously had a Curve and never used it to its full capacity. After much debate over the I phone and Blackberry, I settled again with the Blackberry. Thank you Crackberry for all the great accessories, ring tones, etc that you offer us.

Where can I find that CB wallpaper (in the screenshot above) for the Torch?

Thanks in advance.

-Rich

I'll have my new 9800 next week here in Spain. Hope I can get one of the 25 free copies

Don't forget me!!!

One fan from Madrid

I would love to have it, since I can't use QuickLaunch on this Torch. This phone is so sweet--those of you that don't have one yet, You MUST go get one. It's the BEST BlackBerry I've owned so far!! -iPhone eat your heart out :)

PLEASE give me a free copy. I am struggling with my Torch and the shortcut app would be a great help!

I'm typing this entry on the landscape on-screen keyboard on Saturday evening after consuming several beers!

And it's fun! Sure hope to add this great new app to my shiny new TORCH!

This has been on my list of apps to test out...especially since App World allows for carrier billing! However, I'd definitely love to get a free copy, instead.

Went straight from an old school, non qwerty Razr to a Torch. Totally understand now what is meant by CRACKBERRY!

That said...ShortcutManager would be a great help.
