Shazam, the music discovery application for BlackBerry was updated yesterday. Shazam users who are also BlackBerry Torch users will now find the application available to them via BlackBerry App World. Shazam and Shazam Encore, their premium service were both updated to ensure compatibility with the BlackBerry Torch as well, fix some issues that were reported on other BlackBerry devices. If you're a Shazam fan, be sure to grab the latest update.
No update for the 9700 I seems...
Why do 9700 users always come into the 9800 news and complain about stuff not being available for the 9700???

I did a search in BB App World and it only comes up with the paid Shazam Encore version, not the free version. So I come here on my trusty crackberry and click the link:
"This application is not available for your device or carrier."
Major fail for Canadian/Rogers users. At least the Storm version works fine, graphics just aren't as sharp.
Same thing for me. APP World shows the pay version as being available but the free version is "not for your device".
How do you install the Storm version on the Torch?
You are lucky, the storm version doesn't even work on my Torch. there's an error when I open it
Storm version works fine on my torch, too. Maybe try a reinstall?
App World still showing the older versions (2.5.2) for both Shazam (free) and Shazam Encore.

I can't download it for rogers what's up with that I had it b4 on my tour and storm that was unlocked on rogers now I get a locked torch and I can't get it now that its availble who screwed up!? Shazam or rogers? Someone has some exlaining to do

I had the same problem when opening BAW, it kept showing the older version, until I updated my application list. It should show the new version
Only the US/UK. Not sure why they'd care.

The link for 4.7/5.0 on that page downloads 2.5.2 which seems to work but looks ugly... I noticed that App World has 2.6 available but when I check for upgrade it says it is the latest. Any idea what is the difference? or what is the url to download 2.6?

WTF!
but it isn't very usefull, with the free version you can only have 5 tags a month! that really isn't usefull to me.
