In this day and age most individuals have several social media accounts that they post to regularly. Posting to multiple accounts can be quite tedious. HugSoft, a native developer who has been quite prolific as of late, released an application which gives users the ability to share text and images to multiple social networking accounts. This concept is not a new one and we have already been introduced to an application that makes this process easier such as QuickPost. These two applications are different in terms of their functionality and the third party applications they support. Does Share With Me have what it takes? Click on the link to find out.
When you first launch Share With Me, the application is divided into three parts. The top is comprised of what you can insert into your posts such as emojis, hashtags, and images. The middle part is the field by which you can enter in your text, view your character count, and see a thumbnail of the image to be inserted (as denoted by the Share With Me box to the right). The bottom part of the display is where each of the supported social networks is represented by their corresponding logo. At first glance, this setup is a little cluttered as it takes away from the space where one would enter in their text.
Share With Me only offers one-by-one sharing. Rather than being able to select various social networks and share all at once, you will have to repeat the steps for each account. However, the text and/or image already entered in the appropriate fields remain no matter how many times you share. They are not removed unless you tap on the reset icon or on the image icon. This way all you would have to do is tap on the next social account to share to without rekeying the text or reloading the image.
As discussed earlier, at the top of the screen are the various shortcuts for your posts. These include the "#" and "@" symbols, access to emojis, link to your photo gallery, reset button, and access to a URL shortener with three different website choices.
By default, the theme color is green. However, by swiping down from the top and going into Settings, users can adjust the color using the picker. In addition, Share With Me offers a built-in security function by giving users an option to add a password. All you have to do is enter in a username, password, and recover question/answer and tap on save.
Share With Me supports the following accounts: Remember, BBM and BBM Channels, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, NFC, Email, Text Messages, Evernote, Blaq, iGrann Free & Pro, Trapeez, TAO Translator, Text Speech Translate, BlackBullet, Turbo Reader, Dropbox, Box, Connect to OneDrive, and Insta10.
If a supported social network is not installed on your BlackBerry, Share With Me will direct you to the application in BlackBerry World.
While Share With Me does not have all of the bells and whistles of its competitors, it does support a wide array of third party applications for posting text and sharing images.
This simple and straightforward application is $3.99 in BlackBerry World and requires OS 10.3.0 and higher.
