Several Canadian carriers have now officially released BlackBerry OS 10.3.2

Despite having been officially announced back on June 2nd, Canadian carriers have sort of lagged in officially rolling out the BlackBerry OS 10.3.2 update to customers but it looks as though the wait is finally over for the most part. As noted in the CrackBerry Forums multiple times now and via our tips line, several Canadian carriers including Bell, TELUS, Rogers, Wind and SaskTel have started pushing out the BlackBerry OS 10.3.2 update for available BlackBerry 10 smartphones.

Some of the new features that users will see in these updates include:

  • BlackBerry Blend 1.2 - provides a fresh, new user interface based on our customer's feedback. This new design makes navigating and interacting with your messages and content both faster and easier.
  • Anti-theft protection in BlackBerry Protect - As you know, privacy and security is at the heart of BlackBerry's DNA. BlackBerry Protect allows you to disable the device is it's lost or stolen ensuring no one can wipe and reactive your BlackBerry.
  • Camera - The camera enhancements with 10.3.2 include: low light performance in auto-mode, improved face-detection, and reduced blur caused by motion. All of these make taking pictures in any situation as easy as point-and-shoot.
  • BlackBerry Calendar - Meetings. Meetings. And more meetings. Many of us have full schedules, and with the 10.3.2 update, the BlackBerry Calendar comes to the rescue. And back by popular demand, your BlackBerry Calendar month view will show shrinking & growing date numbers depending on how busy your schedule is that day to show you just how busy the workday is at a glance.

The updates do vary in software version, but the majority of carriers have released OS 10.3.2.2339, which puts the devices on par with the updates pushed out to ShopBlackBerry, Amazon and otherwise carrier unlocked purchased devices. Have you got the update on a carrier not listed today? Let us know in the comments.
