I’ve said it before, I hate cables. It seems they’re always in a tangle and I’m not very good at untying knots. So I was delighted to come across the Retractable USB Sync and Charge Cable from Seidio.
This little cable is only about 4 inches long when spooled, yet is expands easily. It functions just like the cable that came with your BlackBerry, letting you connect a BlackBerry to your PC so you can sync with the RIM Desktop Manager while charging it at the same time.
Fully expanded, the cable is about 2 feet in length, though I don’t know why you would ever need that much distance. The cable winds back up easily and neatly.
I love this cable for travel; it’s compact and lightweight. And since I can charge my BlackBerry from my laptop, I can leave a separate BlackBerry charger at home. Now when I dig around my laptop bag for a sync cable, I don’t have to extricate it from a tangle of other cables.
