Seesmic For BlackBerry

It's only been a few days since the release of Seesmic for BlackBerry and already the feedback given is being laid out for users. You can head on over to the Seesmic site and sign up to submit your feedback and view that of others. Out of all the BlackBerry Twitter applications out there, Seesmic is leading the pack when it comes to their interest in hearing feedback, actually making use of the information and offering a central location to submit such things. Want to see a feature added? Got a bug you found? Let em know, they are listening.

Actually, Ubertwitter and Vodafone Update are also very open to user feedback and have implemented almost all requests. And Seesmic should implement a bunch of stuff in their app quickly just to stay on par with others ;=)

but none of which have a nice, centralized location to submit such things like Seesmic does. (Voda uses the same system though, others do not) Sure, submitting feedback through email and Twitter works, but it's not the same as being able to log in and physically see whats been accepted and what's been declined and what's still on the table.

I have high hopes for seesmic, their desktop app started like this, simple and nice and today we have what we have. I can only hope that their BB app follows the same path. And you are right, they use excellent method to tie users to app development. If Socialscope doesn't roll that bloody update to all beta (alpha?)users i can see only Seesmic and Voda as serious contenders for Twitter and FB use.

companies that encourage feedback. Keep up the good work, and this may turn into a very nice app.

...make it work with firmware version 4.5?

edit:

according to their feeback page, they are "working on this," so I guess I can't complain. Not that I really need another client (SocialScope is working just fine), but it's always nice to have options.

Was excited...until I read that it requires 4.6 or above...no love man, no love. :(

I'm impressed with this facility. Have just looked at the feedback page and i like the way they have stated their position on the suggestions. I have been using SocialScope and more recently TweetGenius; both could learn a thing or two about customer service. Personally I have had no issues but the whole invite thing for SS and the lack of response to a friends support request to TG has left me unimpressed. Seesmic isn't quite there for me yet but if they listen to feedback and act upon it I can see it rapidly becoming a number one twitter app.

One MAJOR bug in Seesmic for the BB: Can't connect without a cell signal. WiFi only it doesn't connect. Just tells you it can't.

Another bug is it just "hangs" for at least 5+ seconds when scrolling thru the timeline. It hangs my entire BB. Not good.

I do love the look and feel though

I still get the icon on my display even though there are no updates. Should I do a battery pull after installation? I deleted the App, but bookmarked the site. Pretty cool I will check later once updated to fix bugs. I definitely like the that I can see my lists updates. Hopefully Vodafone and/or Ubertwitter will provide an updated version to include this feature.

I still get the icon saying I have new notifications too. At one point it said I have 99+ new notifications.....lol I like the way it runs though and maybe once they do more updates it will replace my favorite twitter app, Ubertwitter.

But I am having a problem with the fact it won't let me update my twitter, did I not do something? I logged in and it shows all my stuff just won't let me up date

Needs a way to see my friends and other users friends

Needs a search like uber has to see tweets around your GPS location

the notification icon stays up top for me as well even w/ no new updates... and i'm not getting a number that tells me how many new tweets i have..not a big deal but i have that now on uber
