The list of companies signed on for BES10 continues to grow, this time BlackBerry has announced the addition of G4S Argentina. With over 4,500 employees in Argentina, G4S has recently implemented their own bring your own device (BYOD) strategy and to assist with that they've decided to upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) as their enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution.

"BlackBerry is our main mobile communications provider for our operations outside of our Buenos Aires Headquarters," said Rafael Acosta, IT Manager at G4S Argentina. "Our dynamic workforce demands real-time mobility, as well as efficiency, in communications. Through BES10, we are looking to ensure that data remains secure by separating users' corporate data from their personal data. In addition, it will allow our operations to be more mobile and will simplify enterprise mobility management."

"By helping G4S facilitate a BYOD platform, we're able to ensure they have the most secure enterprise mobility solution, the easiest integration with existing IT Systems as well as great variety of enterprise applications." said Joao Stricker, Regional Director for the Southern Cone and Brazil, at BlackBerry.

Security Leader G4S Argentina Selects BES10 for Secure Enterprise Mobility Management

Buenos Aires, Argentina – BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX:BB), a world leader in mobile communications, today announced that G4S, a global leader in the security industry, has decided to upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) as its enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution. The upgrade to BES10 allows G4S, who has more than 4,500 employees in Argentina, to manage its devices in line with its recently implemented bring your own device (BYOD) strategy.

With BES10, G4S will be able to reach new levels of mobile security, flexibility and productivity across its workforce. This solution will enable G4S employees to be more productive and efficient by enhancing communications and improving collaboration within the organization.

BES10 enables enterprise customers to securely manage applications and content on iOS®, Android™ and BlackBerry devices, allowing for more streamlined communication and collaboration. Businesses such as G4S value the easy access to information and the ability to deploy key applications to help increase productivity, while delivering the system security they require.

"BlackBerry is the only company that can meet organizations' mobility requirements, whether it's multi-platform BYOD or environments that require the most secure corporate-only policies," said Joao Stricker, Regional Director for the Southern Cone and Brazil, at BlackBerry. "By helping G4S facilitate a BYOD platform, we're able to ensure they have the most secure enterprise mobility solution, the easiest integration with existing IT Systems as well as great variety of enterprise applications."

Exactly!!! As more companies start hearing companies upgrading to BES 10/12 more and more will think twice about doing the same.

This Playbook007 dude is too annoying with this FIRSTING

 Incurable Q10  Syndrome.....Keep away!!!!!!

Great news!! Would be nice to understand if they got also BB10 devices but at the end of the day what count is how many licenses for BES they sold. Let's keep this nice pace.. one press release (at least) per day. And I want to see soon names also from the States!

BYOD doesn't mean that the company executives or management need to buy their own devices. I work for a large corporation and the company still provide the phones to the management but if they want they can use their own device, some for other employees.

Good timing now that Argentina is in the news for other reasons... hope they get a few extra hits on Google, Bing & Co.

Indeed! And rest assured they will with World Cup 2014 Finals tomorrow.

I think this would be worth spending 2million worth of advertising and setti.g up a booth at the stadium!! Showing of those BBM signature photos from mybbm.com and emoticons for world cup.

People were wondering where were the revenue streams going to come from now that BIS was heading in time to extinction. BlackBerry stock and RIM were painted time and time again by the media as being dead. The new revenue stream will be even better in time. As companies adopt BES10/12 as their managing software for all devices, BlackBerry will make money off of all devices. BES10 has not only been proven the best for this task, it has been proven to be the least cost. This is a big plus for revenues not dependent on handset sales.

Exactly. Like Chen said in one of the interviews: BlackBerry main goal is to get current and prospective customers on board with BES 10 with different incentives. Once they have a chance to experiment with BES 10, they will likely upgrade and revenue will true flow.

I think the marketing strategy here is quite clear. These are not astonishing deals in themselves in any way, but what they're trying to do is create a momentum in terms of the perception. Some of this will get through, some won't, but what they're trying to do is create a belief that every man and his dog is signing up for it, and your business really ought to do the same.

Quite clever really.

Yes to some extent. But you will see a lot more BES10 adoption. BlackBerry has installed a lot of BES10 trials. These will now start complete adoption and revenues will flow. When Chen said the company will return to profit 2016, he wasn't banking on handset sales. It was the revenues mainly coming on line from BES10 and it's BYOD controls along with necessary cost cutting strategies. All these companies will find though that the real value of corporate BES10 and mobile devices comes to life with standardization and BB10 devices.

No doubt - but that's not what these constant press releases are about; they're about trying to build momentum through perception. It's all about countering the received wisdom of a doomed company, irrespective of whether they are getting sign ups or not. It's effective.

Great news, would be nice to see sales of a few 1000 BlackBerry 10 phones to go with these sales, but it's not going to happen overnight!

I hear ya brother.
Either way this is good news for BlackBerry slowly but surely Chen is showing he doesn't only talk the talk he walks the walk.......he's not the CEO BlackBerry needed but the one it deserved!!!......go Chen, go BlackBerry!!!

Not only is it good news BlackBerry marketing is pushing the info out.

BES with Blackberry is the most secure and carefree solution. Its turn key, don't have to do any major firewall or infrastucture change to accommodate. Its a no brainer for IT. The iOS and Android Solution is unique and inherts the same design tenets.

Too bad this is being implemented as BYOD. What that really means is that everyone will be using Iphones while Blackberry is running on a server in a closet somewhere.
