San Francisco Hosts AT&T Bold Launch Party!

While the rest of the general public is still waiting for an official launch from AT&T, guests that were in attendence at the AT&T Bold launch party in San Francisco last night actually walked away with the devices in hand. Now this news makes me wonder -- considering there was an AT&T branded device that went up on sale on ebay earlier on, did someone get their hands on one of those devices a little early or are we actually gonna get to see an official launch soon on AT&T due to all these devices actually being handed out now? If you all remember previous Bold launch party attendees got vouchers -not the device in hand.

I think I agree with Bla1ze that this may signal an imminent arrival of a device in the mail, or maybe it just means that AT&T's 3G network upgrade is complete in SFO and not in NYC.

If,in fact, this is a legitimate AT&T Bold, it would clearly indicate availability to the general public shortly. It'll be interesting to see how many idiots will bid to pay 700+ when you'll be able purchase for sub 300 shortly.

Can't AT&T release them to the general public?
They did a similar thing with the iphone, prior to the network being ready.
I'm really wanting the BB and everyone seems to have it, except me.

As an attendee of the east coast event....im a little po'ed that they recieved their devices....and all we have are vouchers.....
