That's why I more and more don't like the Android runtime, developers will go the easy way and port things over and will never make a native app

Posted via CB10

Exactly. If we continue this path I will go back to the flip phone. I will never use android/ios.

Yah, but in the end would we have got this app if we couldn't use the ported version, I don't think so. There probably charging $5 to pay for the development of the native app.

I've had CascaRun for a while now and it's a native app for BlackBerry 10 and works perfectly. Way better than other lazy ported apps like this. No fails or locks. Soon it's coming with many updates with 10.2.

Support the no port.

Looks great. Hopefully bluetooth heart rate support is coming soon. Dowbloaded for now. Support the cascades

There are no BT APIs for Android in 10.0, 10.1 or 10.2 thus far. Even when Android ICS is finally live in 10.2 BT support will be coming at a later time. Endomondo does more than Runtastic as an Android Port and is free. Sportstracker and CascaRun are Native Cascades and hopefully will put the code in for HRM support shortly.

Sport tracker failed me. I ride in the mountains and it kept dropping the Gps signal. And would do it again when going under bridges in the city.

Fine app but you get what you pay for.

I've had no problems with the gps signal with it. I run along wooded trails with a lot of canopy. I guess I've been lucky.

I had some GPS drops initially and some crash problems but after upgrading to 10.1 and latest Sports Tracker versión it has been flawless for me, love it!

$5 for an Android app? Give me a break!
Sports Tracker is native, free, syncs with their website, displays all the data for current and previous workouts, and so on.

I could pay 5€s if it was native, but it's definitely too much for a port.
I don't hate ports, I hate them when they have this high price.

Shame on Runtastic. Now when noone buys their ported app they will stop supporting blackberry. For a native app, I might have considered paying a small fee, but $4.99 for a ported app is crazy. Especially when there are perfectly good alternatives (even if ported) available for free.

I used to use Runtastic on my 9700, but have been using Endomondo lately on my Z10. I think I will stick with Endomondo, because it syncs my workouts instantly with myfitnesspal (which works when sideloaded using the new debug method).

I dont quite understand the debug method, havent not had any success with it...do you have a .bar for my fitnesspal

I have this on my old bold 9700 and my wife's GS2. Do I have to pay for it again? Just wish someone would port over Strava. Didn't see it In my world...

I bought it and seems to work well but it was a short run! No issues with GPS drops but will report back on a longer run.

5 dollars for ports? Who are these people kidding? Haha.

I bought it. Used Runtastic on my Windows Phone and liked the program. Many of my workouts are on a treadmill or strength training, Runtastic is the only one I know of that allows manual entries.

The main problem with this app is that it doesn't seem to recognize headphones... when music is playing through headphones, it still talks to you through the speakerphone, which not only makes what it says inaudible, but causes the music from the headphones to cut in and out. Tried on both a Z10 and Q10, both have the same issue. Until this is fixed I'd say don't buy this...
