When it comes to OS updates for the BlackBerry Passport, Rogers seems to be leading the pack. They were the first carrier to roll out an update before the device was fully officially announced and now they've gone ahead and released another. Now appearing on Passports is software update v10.3.0.908 otherwise known as OS v10.3.0.1418.

The update doesn't really specify what has changed, but folks in the CrackBerry Forums are already digging through it. Of course, you don't really need to be on Rogers to receive the update either. The files are available for loading yourself if you wish and if you hold out a bit later, I'm sure some autoloaders will be created.

No the Passport only has 10.3.0.

When the Classic will be released, it will have 10.3.1 and then all existing devices will also get 10.3.1.

I have heard that you may need to download the Amazon store from the Amazon website. It will install over the version that comes with the OS, and then it will work.

I had the same issue with the amazon app store on a previous leak, but started working again later. I don't recall if it was a restart that fixed it or if it was after I granted permission to install from non BlackBerry app store. Hope you resolve your issue

Yeah the shipping (at least from Shopblackberry.com) seemed a bit wacky and was longer than 2 days shipping that I paid for but as others have said, it's worth the wait. It's a Great device.

Same thing at Q10 launch in Australia. Got an update when I first turned it on, (84.7MB), and another small one the next day. I went like, wow, this is great. Then they pretty much stopped. Ouch :-)

It's a bit of a big difference to be just bug fixes. That's like 300 builds between this and the one originally on the passport. There may be new stuff or general polishing.
Maybe new icons as well..

Yes I agree any update which comes takes about one day to settle in the system. I downloaded 10.3.0.1418. Too early to comment on any changes. Some bug fixes might be there.

Yeah mid way through 2015 on Verizon, IF we are lucky, since testing alone usually takes two months, that already takes us till Jan. By the time that comes out, there will already be new devices running probably 11 something by then

I just updated my Passport and the big thing I've noticed so far is the @123 virtual button isn't as finicky now.

It was a bit hit or miss before when I tapped that key. It seems like it would register one hit as two and turn on and off before I had a chance to select from the additional virtual keys.

But now it's solid. Hit @123 once, it brings up all the virtual keys, hit it again and they all disappear. Perfect. This phone is a treat to use. I love it. Great job BlackBerry!

I have an unlocked Passport on AT&T. Tried removing SIM and checking for updates, but I don't see this update.
Is there another way to get the OS?

The rest of you are never getting 10.3. Only Passport is getting 10.3. You will be getting 10.3.1 on all other devices when it launches on Classic.

That all depends on what carrier you are using it with. Doesn't matter if it's unlocked or not, updates come from the carriers, not like apple where they bypass carriers and just push it out to everyone.

I switched from t-mobile specifically because the passport doesn't access all of t-mobile's bands. It does access all of at&t's though. I told t-mobile that i was leaving them because they no longer offered blackberry. Also, as far as the number key being wacky, you can always swipe down on the keyboard to access the numbers and symbols :)

I can't not agree more. I find it snaps very quickly during the day but get a pic when its slightly dark and it it seems like it takes forever. however it does take better pictures during that tho.

Yeah I have no idea. It first updated to 10.3.0 and literally woke up with 10.3.1.508 waiting for a reboot. No whitelisted PIN for Blend though.

I did the autoloader of 10.3.1 on my z10 and iit works fine. The battery does drain quicker then expected when trying to use the gps for geocaching (where is the Geocache app anyway?). But so far no complaints on the OS.
Except that I can't find the dedicated email icon.

I at a mall in Windsor, ON and visited Telus and Rogers, both have the Passport on display to around with. I also went to a Bestbuy to take a look but they only have a dumb display one so you can't play with it.
