Isn't the leaked version a better one anyway?
Bla1ze May 28, 2012 at 8:16 pm
Uh, HotSpot comes standard on all Rogers data plans 1GB and up, has been that way for years.
xenorph May 28, 2012 at 9:25 pm
Shouldn't it say OVAs not OVEs?
VanCity778 May 28, 2012 at 7:51 pm
It's official. Hell has frozen over.

lol, so true. Rogers seems to be way behind in many things. Im sure they messed up this update to include the rogers apps that only work 50% of the time or designed to empty your wallet.

I am hoping this means AT&T will bless it soon.

Been waiting for a new os update. The old one I've been using has just been chugging along
Rootbrian May 29, 2012 at 10:13 pm
Well you could grab a later one from another carrier and lock on to one of many howto threads. :)

Mobile Hotspot on v7.1.391 for Torch 9810 test results:
WiFi works for Playbook...obviously...
WiFi works for Android...naturally...
WiFi works for Windows and Linux Laptop = perfect...
WiFi does >NOT< work for iPhone/iPad/iPod....this sucks for all users who have iPad and Blackberry phones...
Called up Blackberry Tech support to confirm this and they said it is suppose to work... and tells me to call Apple to troubleshoot.
Really!? How Biased and Liars RIM is.
iPad works on Android mobile hotspot...but not Blackberry mobile hotspot... okay... why not just put a banner that says.. Blackberry Mobile Hot Spot works...but not for iOS.
Rootbrian May 29, 2012 at 10:15 pm
Lol
I tested it at the apple store and the macbook/air/products, iPhone, ipod and ipad worked fine with it.
bahandi May 29, 2012 at 11:08 pm
LMAO!! I sure hope you called Apple support before claiming RIM to be liars.
