Rogers News: Pink Curve 8310 Available, OS4.5 Shipping on Pearl 8120 and June 17th Launch Date on the Bold?! By Kevin Michaluk | 06 Jun 2008 12:00 | Three bits of news from the #1 GSM carrier north of the border (err... the only GSM carrier north of the border) to report on... 1. Rogers has released the BlackBerry Curve 8310 in PINK 2. It seems their newly announced UMA-enabled BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is going to ship with OS4.5!! I heard the 4.5 rumor from a couple of sources and the photo (after the jump) further confirms it. Hopefully 4.5 will 'officially' be here soon for the rest of us! 3. MobileSyrup reported this week that a June 17th launch date has been set for the BlackBerry Bold (according to a Rogers insider). That's only 10 days away...I guess we will know soon! ![]() OS4.5.0.37 on the Rogers BlackBerry Pearl 8120

Gotta love it
The sis-in-law might like that. And maybe that's why RIM took my links off me?
*sigh* How I love to hate Rogers, crappy data plans, but all the hot new devices due to close relationships with RIM.
PS: They took your links Adlen cause you were sharing unreleased OS files, it was just a given that you'd get a letter sooner or later, did ya really think you would be the one to escape RIM's legal team when even Boy Genius/CrackBerry and many others can't even do it.
anyone know how much the bold is gonna cost us?
It has been reported that AT&T will sell the bb bold for $499 without any service agreements, not sure about Rogers.
Where has it been reported by AT&T directly. I haven't seen anything other than speculation. If its true that is music to my ears.
do you think other carriers will also be getting the color pink?
WELL I WAS ON THE PHONE LAST NIGHT WITH VERIZON SPOKE WITH A REP ASKING ABOUT THE SLIVER CURVE AND ,SHE SAID TO ME HOW WOULD I LIKE THE PINK ONE I STARTING SCREAMING BECAUSE IT ONE,OF THE SEXIEST COLORS FOR WOMAN SO SHE SAID HOLD OFF AND WAIT BECAUSE OF THE NUMBERS FOR THE PINK CURVE ARE ALREADY IN THEIR SYSTEM SHE COULD SEE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOO TO ALL THE LADIES KEEP CHECKING VERIZON WIRELESS ITS COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is 4.5 going to be available to existing 8330 users?
I currently have verizon, and my contract is up on the 28th
when is the bold coming out, and should I switch to at&t
the only upside is that rogers will be changing there data prices in the 3rd quarter to sync with the relese of the iphone... by then my 3 months unlimited trial will be up, perfect timing
Why is it that people seem to always think about jumping carriers just because of a phone. If you have problems with your service provider, that's one thing. But everytime I look online about phones, people always seem to get upset that "THEIR" service provider isn't getting that specific phone, or maybe not soon enough and are willing to jump ship... Come on people! Too many times I have seen (in the wireless business. I sell for VZW) People jump ship for a phone and complain later about the service. Ex: iPhone and at&t. Don't get me wrong, if I didn't have VZW I would have at&t (I have had them before) but it seems that people are never truly happy with their provider unless they are given everything they want. If you are happy with the service then you should set your priorities as 1.Service, 2.Phone. I too am I tech junky and love phones, but I stay where I have Great Coverage, Good Customer Service.
Too many times, throughout the forums, I read nonsense like this. Its as though people really don't have their priorities in order. I want great service first. What good is the latest/greatest/newest phone if the service is subpar?
Jumping ship? The grass is usually NOT greener on the other side.
CS is a different animal. How often do you need to call CS? Most people that complain so much about poor CS do so because they couldn't get what they feel is rightfully owed to them.
