Rogers has taken a step forward in terms of customer self serve options with their most recent announcement. The My Account application is being rolled out for Rogers wireless customers to download direct from their device. Previously it was available as a WAP browser link which led to the Rogers website but now, it has grown into a full blown application. Only fair to note that it actually looks nice as well.
As noted on the Rogers RedBoard blog, the application allows for secure access to your Wireless accounts to view balance and make payments as well as check airtime, messaging and data usage. Over the next few days, the new app will be rolled out to BlackBerry models 8220, 8520, 8900, 9000 and 9700.

Nice loving it

your able to view all of your information as well, but the only negative thing about this is that your not able to make payments from the app. Instead, it tries to direct you to the T-mobile site, which isn't even supported on the BB browser. I really wish they would fix this!

Noticed this pushed to my phone yesterday. I think this is a welcome addition from Rogers and is very accurate

I just checked the payment option and it doesn't redirect you. It asks for credit card info right in the app. I won't use that anyways since I prefer online banking

Doesn't work yet...
EDIT - Seems to be cool actually
U, B & H keyboard shortcuts are useful

I've been using this for a couple of days, and I must say it is very handy. Finally, something "cool" and actually "useful" from Rogers.
Thanks!

Had it for a couple months now, think since February but now they're pushing it to devices. It's great for quick access to all your stats and activity. Make my payments through it too.

I wish there was an app similar to this for my Vodafone in India too. :(

Why is the trackpad black?? Should be white since the rest of the phone is white..

Ya, I've had it running on my 8900 for just over a month. Its great. I use it mostly to track data usage. Check out my quick review here: http://jsbbblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/new-rogers-myaccount-app-allows-you...

Is this not the same as my Bell App that poped up on my screen a few months ago?

I really wish that USCC would do something like this, or at least make a WAP portal to obtain this information, but for now it looks I will keep using Bolt to check this.

I will be using it

Will Rogers Sister Company Fido have a similar App?
jabohn May 6, 2010 at 1:50 pm
Haven't seen it on my 8520 yet... is there a place to download it? Maybe because I only have a messaging plan (no data) Rogers won't push it to my phone?
