One of my favorite time killer games for BlackBerry, Catapult, just had a cool update. The objective is simply to fling your rock through the air, and see how far it will go. There are targets you can hit which increase your score, springboards on the ground that bounce you back up into the air with a burst of speed, and sandboxes that will bring your stone to an immediate halt. The update has added stars to catch which allow you to buy upgrades to luck, bounce, spring, and rubber. There were also some bug fixes and the addition of sound effects, if that's your thing. (If not you can turn them off.)
Catapult has a great UI with simple graphics and a really smooth feel. This game is compatible with BlackBerry 83xx, 85xx, 89xx, 9000, 93xx, 91xx, 95xx, 96xx, 9670, 97xx,and 9800 and costs just $.99.
For more information and to purchase Catapult in the CrackBerry store

I installed the latest release on my Storm2 9550 and it put my phone in an infinite loop...trying to wipe out the app via BBSAK and nothing! ARGH! Hopefully it was just my phone.

That's certainly odd. I've never had any users report the app causing an infinite loop. Could you contact me at support@dekerta.com so I can help you determine the cause of the problem?
Thanks!

This game runs fast and smooth on my Storm 2. It's a fun way to waste some time. It would be nice if you could somehow control the rock after you launch it. Tilt the screen to make the rock go up or down as it is flying through the air.

Can you please report on Great Games for the PlayBook? We all have Playbooks now, and want to play games on them instead of our small phone screens. I've set my iPod aside ... because compared to the PlayBook, it is now useless.
Thanking you in advance for your kind efforts in sharing.
BTW - The PlayBook ROCKS !

We're trying to spread out the love between phones and the PlayBook so that everyone is happy. Keep watching, there will be PlayBook games too. :D

All right. But please don't forget about spreading the love over my way. I'm already hooked on Tetris ... and can't put it down. Is there going to be some sort of world wide competition with Tetris? I am practising .... maybe become the World BlackBerry PlayBook champion.
