Become a heavy metal star with Rock Hero on BlackBerry 10

Here's a little beauty for you rock fans out there. If you have Snap installed on your BlackBerry 10 device I'd urge you to fire it up and download Rock Hero, which won't cost you a cent.

It's much the same concept as the old classic 'Guitar Hero' and it does a fantastic job. Similar to Guitar Hero you have three colored tabs at the base of the display and your job is to tap them as the corresponding colors come towards you. That's probably not the best explanation but if you check out the above video you'll see what I mean.

With the game downloadable from Snap it is of course an Android one and as it's free you will come up against a few adverts. Luckily they aren't too intrusive and as your not paying for the game can you really complain?

In terms of gameplay this one is awesome. The music sounds amazing and the graphics are smooth and super colorful. This one's is staying on my BlackBerry for sure!

Features include:

  • 3 different music styles.

  • 9 incredible songs.

  • 3 difficult levels

  • Global scores!

  • Cool graphics and effects!

  • Better controls and gameplay!

If you find yourself rocking out to this one let us know what you think of it?

Android apps. I really don't get why this is still posted. If it was native then I would use it if it was in the bbw then I would consider it. I thought crackberry was about blackberry not android

Like it or not, the general public want apps regardless of how they can get them. Blackberry is even encouraging it with the Amazon App Store being integrated with BB10 soon.
So as much as we would all like to see them being only native apps, It is what's being demanded by the community.
As long as the app works, most people just don't care, as long as it works.

Reminds me of the music or movie community. Most people ask why buy my cd's or dvd's/blurays when I can just download them for free/stream them online? People would rather the easy way than have to actually be genuine and buy it themselves.

If that makes any sense...

Yes just don't see why we can't have it in a separate category which one can filter out with the cb app at the very least if one has to make news stories about them. Also the CD part makes sense because some people want it in loss less quality. Which one can download as well I guess, but one might as well buy the CD because it costs the same.

I'm happy to see this review. Thanks to it I will download the app.

And CrackBerry is all BlackBerry. Including this review which was not made on a non-BlackBerry phone as far as I know.

Man.. you need three fingers \m/ to play it instead of 2 thumbs.. lol

Thanks for heads up anyway.

What a trip. Was on snap a few minutes ago and saw this in the top new free apps section and installed it. Then opened CB and saw this.

There are several games in this style available from Snap. This particular one has +1,000,000 downloads but there's one with +10,000,000 downloads... I wonder why this one got highlighted on here?

Looks much like Tap Tap Revenge on iOS remember playing this year's ago.

You won't pay for it with dollars, but you'll pay for it in ads. That's why I don't mind paying a couple dollars for an app.

Just a comment: this adware game is called "Rock Hero". It is not "Guitar Hero" and it is not "Rock Band" either.
