Ringed for BlackBerry 10 - taking me back to my childhood

By James Richardson on 9 Nov 2013 05:08 am EST

Within the BlackBerry World description for Ringed it says it is based on the classic water ring toss toys. I think I may be old enough to remember those - yes, real toys, made from plastic and filled with water.

Anyway, that's enough of me reminiscing about my childhood as Ringed is available for BlackBerry 10 and is free to download - which should get a positive response. Only available (at the time of publication) for the BlackBerry Z30 and Z10, the game is much the same as the old classic where you simply have two controls - one either side of the display which you use to propel the rings through the water - either left or right, with a slice of an upwards motion too, and the aim is to get all the rings on the spikes.

To make life harder you will be up against the clock and this will be shown at the base of the display. Although a basic concept, Ringed is actually pretty good and considering it doesn't cost a penny, you don't really have an excuse not to give it a try if you own a compatible handset. A good little time killer this one.

Should also mention the game uses the device's accelerometer on certain stages as there are obstacles that you can make drift to either side.

Rick Danger

Awesome game, very addictive, and not on iTunes, that frustrated my wife, and means she borrows my Z10 just to play it.
