We told you back in July this year about the GetTaxi app for BlackBerry smartphones, which is designed to make getting a Black Cab in London simple and safe. RIM has now partnered with GetTaxi and BlackBerry customers can now get £7 free credit to use for Christmas - how kind of them.
GetTaxi for BlackBerry smartphones ensures hassle-free travel around the capital by identifying a user's location to bring them a taxi as quickly and effectively as possible. GetTaxi features include radar functionality, so users can see exactly how far away their cab is, in addition to full driver information including number plate, phone number and photo. The driver information and tracking system mean GetTaxi is one of the safest ways to get around during the festive period.
From 11th December, anyone who downloads the GetTaxi app from BlackBerry App World can enter the code ‘BlackBerry' into the ‘me' section of the app to instantly credit their account with £7 black cab credit. This credit is redeemable against the user's first journey.
