Wait a tick...does this phone not have built-in wifi?!?

no wifi... it WILL have gps but verizon will likely force you to use vznavigator...

The 8120 will have wifi(at&t? t-mobz? telus? Roger dodger? only the shadow knows...)

by the way..forgive the ignorance but which of our lovely canadian neighbor's wireless carriers are cdma??

I've been hearing the rumours about this for about a week now, so I'm glad they finally annouced it. It'll be nice to be able to upgrade my current 7130e CrackBerry to the shiny new Pearl! :-D

This is such great news for those of us in Canada whose carriers are CDMA. In my case, that would be BELL MOBILITY.
Am so pleased that this model has built-in GPS, and supports video capture. Even has a spell checker. Way to go RIM !!

Not to be too greedy, but wouldn't it be fantastic if RIM also introduces the BlackBerry Curve 8330.

As far as the VZ advertisement on the Yahoo webpage.. that the new phones (incl the Pearl) arrive tomorrow... not true. At least for the consumer. No store in my area has it or even expects it until Thanksgiving.
