RIM needs your help choosing the song for the final BlackBerry Jam music video

It's time to get the band back together! Yes, that's right. With the BlackBerry 10 launch event happening on January 30th and BlackBerry 10 Jam Europe happening on February 5-6, 2013, for Alec Saunders and the band, the wait is over. To celebrate, they're looking to do one more BlackBerry Jam video and are looking for suggestions on what the next song they do should be. Have a suggestion? Send a tweet using the hastag #BB10Song. Personally, given Kevin's long hair I think he should be in the video as well. They can have him do some headbanging while playing the triangle or cowbell or something like that. Ding!

Not sure myself about the rights, but Chris also did a radio edit of the song with slightly altered lyrics. Perhaps they could get around it by doing that version. I just love the thought that we've been hearing BB10 all this time that RIM could tap into the whole brand recognition thing.

I ABSOLUTELY got this one.... I want "without me" by Eminem. Guess who's back, back again, shady's back, tell a friend. Guess who's back, guess who's back....... Idunno... Start me up was used for a Windows release, I believe it was for Vista,, that is the last thing RIM needs is an unoriginal song idea for a commercial.

I think this totally needs to be an ORIGINAL song, indie, not some mainstream Metallica or AC/DC song that's been played and used to DEATH! Come on people, you can do better!

I can't keep up with who uses what song. If I would have known that MS used that particular tune for Vista then I would not have mentioned it.

Although I do agree songs such as Back in Black and the like have been done to death. So RIM could use some originality. But you also got to realize the song still has to appeal to the masses and go with what BlackBerry is trying to achieve.
