The week has started pretty well for RIM and BlackBerry owners like. Unless you've been living in a cave since the weekend then you would know that the BlackBerry 10 Launch Event has been set and BlackBerry 10 was even trending worldwide on Twitter yesterday too.
While this may not be the most exciting news, it still some good news. Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 winners were recently announced and RIM makes the Top 16 in the 2012 rankings. This ranking up from Number 29 in 2011.
If you do not know already, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program looks at celebrating the achievements of the Canadian technology sector. It ranks the top 50 fastest growing companies in the country.
RIM came in Number 16 with a growth of 555% over the past year. What's more is that RIM is the only company to make it into the Fast 50 list for all 15 years that the program has been running.
So, while many folks and the media may continue to put RIM down, they continue to work hard within RIM headquarters, ready to prove everyone wrong. I strongly believe BlackBerry 10 will be a game changer and look forward to the January 30th, 2013 launch event. #BB10Believe!

Cool. I'm curious as to which stat grew by 555%? It didn't clearly state it on the press release either.

The note under the table of companies says "Growth rate is indicative of a five-year period."

Way to go RIM. Seems releasing no devices has done better for them than when they did make phones. Lol.
