Review: SanDisk 16GB microSDHC Card

Did you know that your BlackBerry is a voracious, memory-eating machine? Stills and videos taken with your BlackBerry camera, ringtones, music, email attachments, and even emails themselves take up memory. You need a memory card. To get the full use of the multimedia powers of your BlackBerry, you're going to need some space.

Once, I figured 8 gigabytes of storage would be enough. Then I started added entire albums, entire anthologies of work - twenty-six albums take up a bit of room. Digital backups of shows I own on DVD - every Simpsons DVD to date - take up their share of room, too. With 16 gigabytes of memory, I can store over 2,500 6-megabyte MP3's or more than 80 half-hour shows (about 175 MB each).

San Disk is a name I trust and with CrackBerry.com's reputation, I know the card is good. Twice, I've been burned by bad memory cards bought on ebay. Never again. The 16 GB strikes a nice balance of providing lots of space without breaking the bank. I know I'll certainly put it to good use.

I am a big time Rock n roll lover....I will definitely be putting Metallica, ACDC, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, System of a down, Evanescence, Apocalytica, Three Days Grace, Shinedown, 3 Doors down, Papa roach, Staind, and so many more. I love Rock, it is for everyone. I am not really into all that rap and love stuff. I like some of them but mainly I like ROCK. It is something I can relate to.

Music? We'd load up our entire library, or as much as would fit. This consists of jazz = Django Reinhardt to Miles to Keith Jarrett to the Marsalis family to Lenny Breau to Herbie Hancock and on and on; classical =the big three to opera to chamber music to modern masters and much, more; R&B and soul = mostly sixties and seventies soul + Stevie; world music = eclectic mix from northern and southern Africa; folk = mostly Canadian but some American; and a bunch more, including new artists in all areas . We are music freaks!!!

I purchased a Sandisk 16GB card from Ebay and everytime I get around 4gb of used memory it stops working and says the card is corrupt and asks me do I want to format the card all over again. I then reformat and spend all the time putting my media back and it does it again. These ebay sellers that are auctioning off junk should be banned from life! I'd love to win this card, and not just because I need one, but because I wouldn't have no worries about it's authenticity coming str8 from Crackberry. I would put my some of my fav episodes of Southpark on it and the new Bruno Mars CD. (Wasn't sure if my last post sent so I'm sending another...fyi)

with only a 2gb mem card in my 9780 im limited to how much music and videos i can have. with the 16 or 32 gb mem card i can add more of my favorite bands and even more of my favorite shows. i like all kinds of music too anything from Drake to Disturbed. Im also a big Law & Order SVU fan and there on season 12 right now lol not to mention im a HUGE Hockey Fan!!!!! Being able to have room for the video clips i take on my phone from the games i go to would be AMAZING!!!

I just got into watching Arrested Development. I would put the first few seasons on there, as well as my massive library of thousands of songs, even though theres probably only 200 that listen to regularly.

Also a few of my favorite podcasts to round out the list. I'm not a big photo person on my phone because I prefer to use my DSLR Canon camera instead. The camera on my Storm 2 just doesn't compete.

IMHO - you can never have too much storage space on any divice. I would put my everything on 16GB card. Besides - the larger the card - the snappier your device will be.

I'd use it to store a wide variety of music from emo/punk to alternative Jazz. Probably music like Fink, Lady Antebellum, Lil Wayne. etc. And Have Boondock Saints and Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (Epic Movies).

This article really spoke to me - Im in the EXACT same boat! Have an 8gb chip and desperately need to upgrade! I usually use my memory card as a revolving door for music and videos. One of my favorite things to do is convert movies to psp format and load them on my BB.

The only problem is that I run out of space too fast. A 16gb is calling my name!
