One lucky member of the CrackBerry Nation will win one of these.  Read on for details.

Did you know that your BlackBerry is a voracious, memory-eating machine? Stills and videos taken with your BlackBerry camera, ringtones, music, email attachments, and even emails themselves take up memory. You need a memory card. To get the full use of the multimedia powers of your BlackBerry, you're going to need some space.

Once, I figured 8 gigabytes of storage would be enough. Then I started added entire albums, entire anthologies of work - twenty-six albums take up a bit of room. Digital backups of shows I own on DVD - every Simpsons DVD to date - take up their share of room, too. With 16 gigabytes of memory, I can store over 2,500 6-megabyte MP3's or more than 80 half-hour shows (about 175 MB each).

San Disk is a name I trust and with's reputation, I know the card is good. Twice, I've been burned by bad memory cards bought on ebay. Never again. The 16 GB strikes a nice balance of providing lots of space without breaking the bank. I know I'll certainly put it to good use.

Contest: Want to get one of these for free from Just leave a comment to this review letting us know what music or videos you'd put on a 16 GB memory card. Contest ends this Sunday at midnight PST. Please only leave a single comment. One lucky winner will get this shipped direct from

Review: SanDisk 16GB microSDHC Card

Well, i am gonna have there some TIziano Ferro and some Gigi D'alessio and also Alessandra Amoroso :D

I have over 95,000 songs on my external hard drive and I would love to fit more on the torch. Maybe even try and stick Seasons 1 through 13 of south park on there.

I would probably put a bunch of Podcasts from Kevin Smith and Adam Carolla on mine. As well as a bunch of albums from Muse, Coldplay, etc. Please let me win!

Put on all the Metal that I have on mp3 (Machine Head,Slipknot etc) and then some Star Trek and some Robot chicken for laughs.

I love Eric Clapton's music, and some old-schoold bands from the US. My memory card now is 8Gb and it's going to be out of space if I keep putting more video clip and music audio flie on that. Give me please!

Lot's of Opera and Musicals in *flac format so I get the best Audioquality out of my Blackberry!

I use my blackberry for all my mobile media needs, its my primary media player as I couldn't be bothered with using an iPod any more. As someone with several hundred gigabyte of music, my 8Gb SD barely cuts it.

Gotta have Samantha James, Californication, and Spartacus comes to mind for mobile entertainment!

I would be putting as many songs as i can from my 8687 songs library on it :P my 2 gb card is way to small -.-

I would be putting as many songs as i can from my 8687 songs library on it :P my 2 gb card is way to small -.-

1001 copies of Justin Bieber's first album. The most inspiring, technically gifted and melodic music my sweet ears have ever heard!

I am a big time Rock n roll lover....I will definitely be putting Metallica, ACDC, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, System of a down, Evanescence, Apocalytica, Three Days Grace, Shinedown, 3 Doors down, Papa roach, Staind, and so many more. I love Rock, it is for everyone. I am not really into all that rap and love stuff. I like some of them but mainly I like ROCK. It is something I can relate to.

I'd put everything from Tupac, Biggie, Rakim. and all my favorite movies like Titanic, need plenty of room for that one ......anyway let me win team. and whoever reads all these comments has one heck of a job. good work team

- would do sooo much with a 16gb memory card, right now my 4gb is full and I can't add anything else. - would add Adele's 21 Chris Brown;s FAME, Jennifer Hudson's I Remember Me, Tinie Tempah's Disc-overy and Jessie J's Who You Are!!! As you can see, I would need a lot of space lol :)

MY HUGE collection from iTunes, lots of pop, hip-hop and rnb songs !
116 albums, over 300 songs and still growing, podcasts and tv shows!
Countless video clips and movies (Don't forget it can also be used as a DiskOnKey), A BUNCH of mails and stuff!

I would use the card to carry all 5 seasons of Absolutely Fabulous...the best BBC comedy EVER!!!
And watch them all whenever my job gets me down.

Music definitely, Jennifer Hudson, Jazmine Sullivan, Neyo and many more! Video recordings & pictures as well.

I would put a variate of music and music videos on it. It would definitely include The Black keys, Godsmack, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin.

id fill my card up with techno, movies, and more slacker radio cache's then one person should probably ever need!

I'd have to put on some Curb Your Enthusiasm and Breaking Bad. As for music, I gotta go with lots of Queens of the Stone Age.

Music? We'd load up our entire library, or as much as would fit. This consists of jazz = Django Reinhardt to Miles to Keith Jarrett to the Marsalis family to Lenny Breau to Herbie Hancock and on and on; classical =the big three to opera to chamber music to modern masters and much, more; R&B and soul = mostly sixties and seventies soul + Stevie; world music = eclectic mix from northern and southern Africa; folk = mostly Canadian but some American; and a bunch more, including new artists in all areas . We are music freaks!!!

Coldplay, R.E.M. and Springsteen. Tons of pictures of my children and beautiful wife. Videos of the same.

I'd put Sparticus Gods of the Arena, some James Brown, my Entire 2Pac collections, Temptations, Ray charles, african music and lots of family pictures.

I have a 500 gb mp3 library, I'd load that thing up and rotate all my music through it if I had it! From abba to zoolander sound track yeah!

That would be awesome, I'd love to be able to put my whole music and pictures library.

Thanks to offer that

I'd like to play music videos while in the car, conected to the AUX, it'll look like I have a small screen. Hahaha, sounds awesome!

I purchased a Sandisk 16GB card from Ebay and everytime I get around 4gb of used memory it stops working and says the card is corrupt and asks me do I want to format the card all over again. I then reformat and spend all the time putting my media back and it does it again. These ebay sellers that are auctioning off junk should be banned from life! I'd love to win this card, and not just because I need one, but because I wouldn't have no worries about it's authenticity coming str8 from Crackberry. I would put my some of my fav episodes of Southpark on it and the new Bruno Mars CD. (Wasn't sure if my last post sent so I'm sending

I would store music to help me get through school (such as Daft Punk :), a few movies to watch with my wife during our upcoming plane trips to visit family, several episodes of my favorite podcasts ( included, of course), my portfolio of pictures, pictures of family, application backups...

16GB would really make a lot of things possible!

wow thats nice! I would put there my Amon Tobin's collection and some of the M.A.S.H. series :-)

Music for now but I got a child on the way and I would love lots of pictures and videos since I'm going to be joining the military

PODCASTS! I am a paramedic and work long shifts. I have many instances where we don't have any calls. Podcasts help me pass the time.

I'd be putting my epi's of Coronation Street, Criminal Minds & General Hospital on mine so I can watch on my 2 hour commute to work each day (4 hours total I travel)>>>>>

I want one of these so I can put the entire collection of metallica on it and some top gear ohhh-yeah

I'd put my daughter's movies on there. She loves mickey mouse and baby einstein videos, and I'm always running out of room.

Well I would really use this out! I got 4GB and it's horrible to have to sync everything and keep my podcast archive on the phone quite limited =(

with only a 2gb mem card in my 9780 im limited to how much music and videos i can have. with the 16 or 32 gb mem card i can add more of my favorite bands and even more of my favorite shows. i like all kinds of music too anything from Drake to Disturbed. Im also a big Law & Order SVU fan and there on season 12 right now lol not to mention im a HUGE Hockey Fan!!!!! Being able to have room for the video clips i take on my phone from the games i go to would be AMAZING!!!

I would def put all 3 godfathers on it and kill time all day long while i'm out! as well as my music collection.

Let's see.... well over 1600 music files, approximately 8gb of full length converted movies plus custom ringtones and CB podcasts to boot....yup, I could definitely utilize this well. Hook me up CB!!!

I just got into watching Arrested Development. I would put the first few seasons on there, as well as my massive library of thousands of songs, even though theres probably only 200 that listen to regularly.

Also a few of my favorite podcasts to round out the list. I'm not a big photo person on my phone because I prefer to use my DSLR Canon camera instead. The camera on my Storm 2 just doesn't compete.

Bob Marley (Reggae), Jungle Brothers(Old school house music), Stone Temple Pilots (Grunge), Machel Montano (Calypso), etc. etc.

Who doesn't need more storage! I love carrying my music around with me on the BB. The more the merrier and happier camper I would be!

If I'll own this SD card, I'll definately put all my music collection - tons of 80's, 90's music also trance and hiphop, I love different styles of music. Also, I'll finish watching the last seasons of friends & two and a half men..

Sounds good to me, I would put "In this Moment's" new album on in, The Star Crossed Wasteland. Otherwise known, as best cd, I've heard in a long time.

If I had one of these it would be an easier tasks deciding which of my 70 or so movies and 20gb's of music I could put on my phone.

I'd put a wide variet of music, from Mumford and Sons to Kid Cudi. Then I'd record more videos of my 1 year old daughter!

I would put all my podcasts and music albums on it. Diana Krall, Kanye West, Black Star, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and of course Lupe Fiasco's LASERS album when it drops on March 8.

I'd love this so I could have a longer play list and not feel the need to carry an mp3 player along with my phone. I never use video on it now because I don't have room to store them. A larger SD card would be SO nice!

I have over 8 GB of music I hardly ever listen to because I'm not home. With this I can take it ALL with me. (Then I would have trouble deciding what to listen to, of course)

Music, podcasts and sync my entire document backup folder from my hardrive... 16GB more Blackberry goodness and Crackberry content in my pocket!

Ok, not the entire collection but maybe a tenth of it! I could also keep many more pictures of my baby girl right on the Blackberry!

IMHO - you can never have too much storage space on any divice. I would put my everything on 16GB card. Besides - the larger the card - the snappier your device will be.

Pleace pick me!

With a 16GB card I would be able to put most of my music and some podcasts so I could stop lugging around both my Blackberry and my iPod.

I would store some Dinosaur Jr. And probalbly download some stuff I've lost over the years. Lots of family pictures.

I'd use it to store a wide variety of music from emo/punk to alternative Jazz. Probably music like Fink, Lady Antebellum, Lil Wayne. etc. And Have Boondock Saints and Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (Epic Movies).

Me. I would put most of my music library on it and what ever TV show I am currently watching. Right now it would be Being Human.

Wuauuu!!!.... I NEED This!.
I would put my "base listening": tons of blues/rock like Chris Duarte, Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, Joanne Shaw Taylor, etc. more the "soul side": Marvin Gale, Jhon Black, Isley Brother... and the tons of "music review" that I listen in my "return to home".

More?... pictures & videos!

nothing better than the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Guns And Roses, and Led Zeppelin. For video i would put the whole family guy season 5 and pictures of my wedding, yes even the ones of my in laws...

WOW I would actually be able to store all of mp3 collection, or at least the ones that I list to regularly, and hopefully still have room for my podcasts and some pictures !! :)

i have soo many pictures of family, friends, and especially my dogs! And i definitely need a new memory card for my 5000+ songs!

I would store movies for my son to watch, so i can eat at a restaurant in peace while he sits still for once!!!

TV shows (Charmed, Dexter, Big Bang Theory), Pics (too much BBM sharing :P), some music for the daily bussing, and some University work (reports, code, etc.)

Variety is the Spice of life! Long live Blackberry smartphones!

as many episodes of Grey's Anatomy as possible! or ... all the albums by The Foreign Exchange, John Legend, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott! Neo-soul lives!

Finally i can put all my mp3's and videos here, also my pdf documents from work, save for info from my emails, pictures from both work and personal stuff, just download anything i like on the web, a very useful tool for my everyday use :) Thanks Crackberry!

I need an upgrade from 8G memory card to carry my mp4 collection cuz 8G nowaday isn't big enough. :)

Since I got my blackberry multimedia ear phones, I've put away my ipod and now use my Blackberry Bold 9650 as my primary music device. It'll be great to have 16gb to put more songs on it!

This article really spoke to me - Im in the EXACT same boat! Have an 8gb chip and desperately need to upgrade! I usually use my memory card as a revolving door for music and videos. One of my favorite things to do is convert movies to psp format and load them on my BB.

The only problem is that I run out of space too fast. A 16gb is calling my name!

PICK ME!!!!!!!!!

This would totally allow me to keep all of the Zep and AC/DC I love to hear along side all of the BEP's and Katy Perry my kids insist I add to my anemic 4gb card. Looking forward to the upgrade.

I'd put every episode of Arrested Development, Sam Roberts Band albums, and maybe the Back To The Future movies...

I would put my "That 70s Show" episodes on there... Thank you for not asking us to post why. Lol

What wouldn't I put on this? My whole music library, videos, photos, documents, Kindle books, and every translation of the Bible that would fit!

I would sync all my current iTunes playlists plus a few downloaded Podcasts......CrackBerry included of course

Back to the Future I, II, and III. In HD of course. As well as the 2000+ songs from my iPod, which varies from Led Zepplin to Linkin Park to Beethoven to Black Eyed Peas. I hate having to carry both around, this one little card will solve that for me! Thanks Crackberry and happy birthday!

it would be nice to be able to have all my videos of my 2 year old son as well as all my NIN and Rammstein albums in one well as a crap load of 8 gig is full up....I would donate my 8 gig to some one in the comemnts if I won...

I have a 32GB card for my 9700, but my wife only has the 2GB card that came with her Pearl 3G. She says she doesn't need anything more, but nobody says no to free! :)

would love to win one of these since i could put my mp3 christian music on it along with video clips i take with my torch, and yes you're right, the torch is a memory eating (or needing) machine, but that comes from its great abilities.

I would fill it up with all the home video I take with my Torch (and whatevers left I will use for Radiohead music).

my 13 gigs of various artists from rap to country to oldies, and the rest movies! transformers is clutch! would make my decision to not get an ipod easy!!

I would put workout videos like p90x to take on the go and stay fit, exercising to keep my body and brain functioning to its highest capacity even with all this technology, and put the music I take on the go for everyday stuff, as well as the exercising.

right now it's all music and pictures for me. ...if you brought me up to the 16GB realm it would be time for MOOOOVIIIIEEEESS! ....maybe some TV shows? ....i would probably start the office over from season 1 - for some reason i think it would be a good fit for "anytime watching"
